Upon the Young King's arrival in the great city of Yonoros, he was led down into the sand, and there he witnessed the most beautiful of cities. The city was lit by great lanterns and at this time they had a massive roof open, shining light into the city. The lanterns held fluorescent lights casting soft and warm shadows across the city. The people were many, the majority of the people in the city walking about were the men of the city.
In the middle of the massive underground city was the palace, which was a massive hole into the ground. Casamir had heard the words of the upside down city many times along the journey in Yonora. Now he understood the name and the beauty of it.
The buildings passed by him slowly as he trotted along on his steed throughout. Splashes of green foliage seemed to be in every house. The houses themselves were well-planned and made of sandstone. This stone was of a white sand color and when Casamir had the chance to touch one, it was smoother than a lordwife's skin. The houses had glass panels in them allowing the inhabitants to look out, something he'd rarely seen in Remous or any town he'd been in.
The roads were painted with something red and every road made a patchwork pattern around a group of houses. It was a fascinating design that Casamir envied and enjoyed. When they arrived at the foot of the palace, they dismounted their stallions and walked down the staircase.
The staircase was a beautiful thing, encased in more fluorescent light of all colors and types. It bathed the entire case in many colors, a rainbow of beautiful but bright light. The stairs were not sandstone, rather cobblestone, and still they had the red dust going about them as if leading them to the chamber. The stairs did lead them down, into a massive beautiful open ceiling great hall.
In the great hall were many people, lords, and ladies from everywhere in Yonora. While most looked relatively similar, often the only variation was in clothes and body size, a few stood out. One was Casamir himself, he'd been given a protective necklace by the Lord that he'd traveled with. However his bottom half still consisted of tattered clothing, his top half was naked. His physique on display, it didn't bother him whatsoever.
The others who stood out were a young girl from either Maxriana or Casarena, a young man who had a dire wolf half helm upon his head, and finally, an old man with robes that seemed to weigh more than him. When Casamir entered the great hall most of the lords and ladies turned to see if it was their Queen. Most turned away and ignored him. However, a few people didn't, Lord Starkwill of Verpont, Lady Albina of Sandsorrow, and finally the young girl from Casarena. They were a small group on the right side of the sandstone great hall.
Casamir introduced himself upon his entrance to the conversation, stating his name and that he didn't have a city to claim. The young girl from Casarena was Elenus of Riftmark, she was the inheritor of the title of Lord of Riftmark in the north of the South. Lord Starkwill of Verpont was a protector of the realm at that moment, he and his men had been keeping watch for the men of Hadros. They claimed the river Rin, when the queendom had long held it, without struggle. Lady Albina was different however, she was an older lady, perhaps eighty, but she had no lack of youth in her visage. She was there because her granddaughter was apparently the queen's daughter Rosus.
Note: It is unknown which side of the family she claimed to be from for we do not have records of any sort indicating who birthed who, without spoken words. There are few actual documents stating who's the child of who until the middle of the age of legends.
Casamir enjoyed the conversation greatly, the Lady Elenus of Riftmark had much of his attention for her beauty called to him. Her visage was of honey skin and she smelt of the same substance. She spoke sweet words in a way Casamir had never had the pleasure to enjoy and so he spent most of his time entering the conversations she found herself in. He stuck to her like a babe to its mother.
