"We're here to see Doctor Ro."
Michael observed quietly from behind Alyssa when the name 'Ro' reached his ear.
It might've just been the alias people knew him as, because who the hell would name their kid 'Ro'?
"Do you have an appointment?" The lady behind the desk asked with a lazy tone that matched the lady's expression on her face and dark eyebags underneath her eyes. It was as if she was being forced to live.
"Yes." She said and then someone asked from the side.
"Are you the one who doesn't know how to keep to time?" They both turned to find a man in a white lab coat, rolled up sleeves, a cup of cold coffee in one hand and the other in his pocket.
Just like the receptionist, he looked like he was living a life he never asked to live.
He had dark eyebags and an exhausted expression on his face, with his dirty-blond hair tied at the back.
"Ah, that would be us." Alyssa said, her guard up and they watched him sip the coffee in his hand.
