Veldanava POV
"Well, I sent Feldway on a side quest," while looking over the beautiful horizon.
"There's a probability he might get stuck there with her for quite a long time—becoming her personal toy, if he's lucky—uh, I mean unlucky," I said, imagining all the possible ways that situation could spiral.
"...What?"
Ah. I forgot Dino was still here.
"What's wrong, Dino? Anyway, do you have anything to report?" I asked, brushing it off.
"Well... the extermination was successful. All magicule-invading species were eliminated by Commander Feldway, leading the coalition of Zalario, Pico, and Garasha along with three of their respective units."
"I see..." I leaned back slightly, fingers tapping on the side of my throne. "To be fair, Feldway is usually the one giving the reports. The fact that you're here instead... means he's still stuck there."
"Stuck where?"
I glanced off to the side. "Hopefully he gets out sooner or later."
Just as I finished scanning the report, the door creaked open.
"I need to have a private conversation with Lord Veldanava," came a calm, familiar voice. "If you don't mind, could you give us some space?"
My jaw dropped slightly. "Feldway?!"
How the heck is he back already?
"As you wish, Commander Feldway," Dino said, snapping a lazy salute.
On his way out, he leaned in and whispered into Feldway's ear—but I still caught it.
"Thank you. I am feeling a bit sleepy right now, Commander."
Feldway gave a subtle nod, and Dino slipped out the door.
"Welcome back, Feldway."
"That came out of nowhere," he said flatly.
"Well, to be fair, I had my reasons—wait... your armor looks cracked."
"Yeah," he sighed. "That fairy punched me so hard it fractured the plating."
"Oh right," I blinked.
I forgot—unlike his sword Ark, his armor's still stuck at legendary rank. Let me fix that also as well.
I waved my hand, casting a casual spell. The armor shimmered, then shifted—its glow intensifying as it upgraded to god-grade.
"This feels... heavy," Feldway muttered, inspecting the newly enhanced chestplate. "What did you do to it?"
"Eh, just a little patchwork," I said with a shrug. "Call it a quality-of-life update."
He gave me a deadpan look.
"And as for why I sent you there—first, figured it was time you met someone useful. Second, after getting clobbered by a six-armed meathead, I thought a blonde fairy punch might balance the karma. Who knows, maybe you enjoyed it. She usually hates uninvited guests... unless it's me."
"...So, character development through pain?"
"Exactly. I'm your emotional life coach."
Feldway sighed. "Wonderful. I fight gods for a living, and now I need a feelings coach from the person who put me in it."
I grinned. "Tomato, tomahto. Anyway, did she give you anything? Getting out early probably means she didn't hate you."
"Got a time spirit from her—Chrona, or something," he said casually. Then his expression sharpened. "But that's not why I'm here. After the whole spirit thing, I ran an investigation and collected data you might find... interesting, to say the least."
"Wow, you totally glossed over the Ramiris part. But if you discovered something, it must be exciting! Lemme see, lemme see!"
Right after I said that, Feldway connected with me through thought communication—and showed me some... documents.
They weren't what I expected.
Reports of human casualties.
The cause? Most of them aren't even the resurrected magicule species. It's other things—kids born with weak cores exposed to ambient magicules too early, people lacking basic survival instincts, whole settlements wiped out by natural magicule creatures. Just... a slow extinction.
"Notice the pattern, Boss Veldanava," Feldway said calmly. "Humans evolved without magicules. They're ordinary creatures in a world that's anything but. The environment doesn't support them. They could adapt, given time—but that time might be centuries."
I nodded slowly, but then—
"I want to see more," I said, eyes gleaming. "If there's even a chance humanity could unite and grow stronger—together—to survive this magicule-based world... I want to witness it. Every other 'experiment' ends the same: infighting, betrayal, collapse. But maybe if they started this way, against impossible odds... maybe they'd grow closer instead of apart."
Feldway gave a small nod. "I like your dream," he murmured. "And I'd like to see it too."
He closed his eyes, breathed in slowly, then exhaled a quiet sigh.
"...I almost forgot. I interviewed one of the Lower Angel assign to watch over the Cardinal World. They've reported a decreased in temperature."
I blinked. "Colder?"
He opened his eyes. "Yes. Subtle, but steady."
"...Interesting."
Maybe... just maybe, this cold will help them adapt! The magicules, the weather—it's all super harsh, yeah, but what if that's exactly what helps them grow stronger? C'mon... just work, please...

3rd Person POV
A white-haired man and a black-haired man with white specks in his hair walked toward the same center point from opposite directions.
"Feldway!" called Veldanava.
"Boss Veldanava!" replied Feldway.
They spoke at the same time, closing the distance until they stood face to face.
"The Cardinal World is covered in ice!!" they shouted in unison.
"What caused it?!" asked Feldway, the right hand of the Creator.
"Are the humans okay?!" exclaimed Veldanava, the Creator himself.
"Let's go check it out," said the Creator, grabbing Feldway by the wrist as they both vanished in a flash of light.
Meanwhile somewhere in Cardinal World
A blood-soaked set of red teeth slowly munched on a mammoth, its tusk made of magicule, now just someone's else meal.
The creature, invisible in the cold mist, kept biting down on the mammoth until it suddenly stopped, clearly bored of the same meal, even though this thing was never hungry to begin with.
Slowly, it lifted its head, and a pair of yellow eyes began to glow…
Nature's calamity had taken form, wrapped in a frozen curse.
"I'm so bored," it whispered, a low, cold female voice. "Is this all there is?"
