{Chapter: 84 - Sweet Sweet Moments}
The moon hung high in the sky, its silver light casting a dreamy glow across the stars. The lunar surface, silent and still, bore witness to an unforgettable memory—a moment where love burned brighter than the stars themselves. In the quiet embrace of space, beyond the reach of gravity and time, Aiden and Carol had shared something sacred. Her first time, given willingly and passionately, sealed a bond that no power in the universe could undo.
Carol lay in his arms, her raven hair spread like a halo against his chest, eyes half-lidded in dreamy fatigue. Her body trembled from the overwhelming sensations of the love they made beneath the stars—on the moon itself. There was something poetic about it. Her first time, not in a bedroom or a hotel suite, but above the Earth, among the stars, held in the arms of a man she trusted.
She'd clung to him, her nails digging into his back, gasping his name as their bodies moved in rhythm with the universe's silent music. Aiden hadn't planned it. Not exactly. But the way Carol looked at him, the way her lips parted in anticipation, the way her eyes shone like the stars above them—it was impossible to hold back. She was his, and in that moment, he was entirely hers.
Now, with her body limp from exhaustion, Aiden gathered her in his arms once more. Her skin, still warm from their shared heat, pressed against his as he took to the sky.
The journey back to Earth was quiet. Carol nestled close, her eyes fluttering open now and then to see the planet spinning gently beneath them. They didn't speak. They didn't need to. The silence was comfortable, charged with a new kind of intimacy. The kind that only came after two souls had been completely bare with each other—body and heart.
By the time they reached Earth, night had fallen. The city lights sparkled beneath them like tiny stars on the ground, unaware of the passion that had just unfolded above their heads. With a swift motion, Aiden slipped through the window of the hotel, landing silently in the room they had left behind.
"Dear… let me down," Carol whispered, her voice a soft breath against his chest.
Aiden smiled as he gently lowered her to the floor. But the moment her feet touched the ground, her knees buckled with a small groan. Aiden's arms were back around her in a flash, steadying her with ease.
"What? Still can't walk?" he teased, his eyes twinkling with amusement.
"O-Of course not! That was my first time—and you… you were rough…" she mumbled, cheeks flushed as she looked away, flustered.
Aiden chuckled, his deep voice vibrating against her as he helped her toward the bed. "You can't blame me," he said smoothly. "You were just too beautiful… too tempting. I couldn't hold back."
Carol pouted, though the smile tugging at the corner of her lips betrayed her. "Still… you could've… taken it slower."
"I tried," he said with a grin, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "But then you started moaning like that, and I lost all sense of control."
She turned an even deeper shade of red and hit his chest lightly. "Don't say things like that!"
Aiden caught her hand mid-swing and pressed a soft kiss to her knuckles. "Why not? You were amazing. Brave. Beautiful. Irresistible."
Carol looked away, but the pleased smile on her lips said she appreciated every word.
The wonderful feeling pleasuring your women felt great and he didn't want to stop.
But he really did feel a little bad. Unlike her, Sif trains her body everyday and is born with Asgardian physique. So, even though it's her first time, she wouldn't last as long as Sif. Of course, when he did it with Sif, he went a little overboard so she couldn't last much longer than she did.
They collapsed onto the bed together, her body still wrapped in nothing but the soft sheets. Aiden lay beside her, one hand lazily tracing circles over her bare shoulder, relishing the softness of her skin. It was addictive. The way she twitched at his touch, the way her breath hitched slightly every time he dragged his fingers down her back—it all made him want to start again.
But he restrained himself. Just barely.
"I feel like I'm dreaming," she murmured as she curled against him.
Aiden pulled her closer. "You're not dreaming. Though I'd understand if you thought you were. The moon, the stars, that look in your eyes… I'll never forget tonight."
"Me neither," she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. "Thank you… for making it so special."
Aiden's gaze softened. "Thank you for trusting me. For giving yourself to me."
They lay there, wrapped in each other's warmth. Although he had known many women—goddesses, warriors, future queens—This night was different, just as it was with the women he slept with.
Originally, he had planned to leave tonight. To head to Central City, Metropolis, maybe Star City—searching for the Flash, Superman, Green Arrow. But those plans melted away in the heat of the moment. Now, he only wanted to be here. With her. For as long as time would allow.
And although he knew he had to leave soon, the moonlit memory they created would linger in his heart forever.
---
The sun slowly rose, casting golden rays into the room.
Carol stirred in his arms, her eyes fluttering open to see Aiden already awake, watching her with that lazy, loving smile that made her heart flip.
"When are you leaving?" she asked quietly, still wrapped in the bedsheet. Her fingers found his bare chest, tracing light patterns there as she pressed herself closer to him.
Aiden kissed her forehead. "After breakfast. I've got a few things I need to handle. Might be gone for a month or so."
Her arms wrapped around him tighter, reluctant to let go. "I'll miss you."
"I'll miss you more," he replied.
She smiled faintly, burying her face into his neck. "When you come back… will you stay here?"
He nodded, rubbing her back gently. "Not just visit. I want to live here. I want to settle down. With you."
Carol looked up, her eyes wide with surprise and joy. "Really?"
"Really. While I'm away, help me find a house. Something cozy. Something that feels like… us."
Carol's smile lit up the room. "Alright! I'll find the perfect place."
Buying a house was one thing. But to settle... to plant roots in a place, to make it home—it was a promise of something deeper. Something lasting. And Carol felt the sincerity in his voice, the seriousness in his eyes.
---
The warm lights of the hotel room flickered softly above the table where Aiden and Carol shared dinner. A romantic atmosphere lingered in the air as soft jazz played in the background. Their plates were mostly empty, long-forgotten as they got lost in each other's eyes rather than the food.
Carol sat across from him, her chin resting in one hand as she looked at him with a mixture of affection and curiosity. Aiden, in turn, reached across the table to gently tuck a strand of her dark hair behind her ear.
"You keep looking at me like that," she said with a coy smile, "and I'll start thinking you're falling for me."
Aiden chuckled, his voice low and warm. "Carol, I fell for you long before we landed back on Earth. That night on the moon—you don't forget your first kiss there, or your first love..."
Her cheeks flushed crimson at his teasing, but she didn't look away. Instead, she reached out and took his hand. "You're really something, you know that? I've never felt so seen, so wanted. You didn't just make love to me—you made me feel like I mattered."
Aiden squeezed her hand. "You do matter, Carol. I don't do casual. You gave me a memory I'll carry for a lifetime. That moment, up there... with Earth beneath us and stars above—it was like the whole universe stopped to watch us fall in love."
She leaned across the table and kissed him tenderly, lingering for a few heartbeats before pulling away. "You're dangerous with those words, Aiden."
"I'm just telling you the truth." He smirked and winked. "If I could, I'd build a little glass dome on the moon and take you back there every night. Our own celestial honeymoon."
She giggled, hiding her face for a moment. "Stop, you're going to make me cry. You're too sweet."
After the meal, Carol reluctantly stood and wrapped her arms around Aiden in a long, lingering hug. "I wish I didn't have to go."
"I know," he said softly, his arms around her waist. "But this won't be goodbye. It's just a little pause. I'll come back to you."
She nodded against his chest, whispering, "You better." Then, with one last longing look, she slipped out of the room and down the hallway.
Left alone, Aiden stood by the window and watched the city lights glow beneath the night sky. His heart still raced from their shared moments. The connection between them wasn't just physical—it was something deeper. Real.
With a sigh, he turned on the television and scanned through the news channels. The recent report on the Green Lantern had already made headlines. Aiden didn't bother reacting to it. His eyes shifted to broader matters.
He was more interested in the development of other heroes. Superman hadn't made headlines yet, which told him Kal-El either hadn't arrived publicly or hadn't revealed himself. There was no mention of the Speed Force explosion in Central City, which meant Barry Allen hadn't become The Flash. Oliver Queen was still missing and presumed dead—either still marooned on Purgatory Island or not yet reborn as the Green Arrow.
