"What happened, Mr. Sung?!" Hwang Dongsuk sneered with a laugh. "Are you not feeling well?!"
His eyes gleamed a sickly green as his grin widened. "What about..." He leaned over Choi Yoora, his tongue snaking out as he licked her cheek slowly.
"Kyaaahhh!" Choi Yoora screamed, twisting away. "Jinwoo! Help me!"
"Some erotic therapy to get better?" Dongsuk said, voice laced with mockery. "I heard watching someone have sex speeds up your regeneration." He chuckled darkly, licking her again as she recoiled in horror. "I'm doing this all just for you, you know?"
The green in his eyes pulsed, brighter and more unnatural.
"You..." Jinwoo growled, fury blazing in his eyes.
His body flared with green light as his Healing Magic activated, bones snapping into place, wounds sealing shut. Then, something deeper awakened.
Crackling arcs of lightning surged across his skin. Purple flames erupted around him. The ground beneath him split and trembled as earth magic rumbled from deep within.
"Oh... oh..." Hwang Dongsuk muttered, the sadism fading for a moment, replaced by fascination. He threw Choi Yoora aside like a rag doll, eyes locked onto Jinwoo.
"Haste."
Jinwoo's figure blurred. The boost from Healing Magic further amplified by his cast, his form surged with unnatural speed.
He summoned Kasaka's Fang in one hand and pulled the second dagger from his inventory, both weapons igniting with magical power.
Then—he moved.
A blur of destruction. Every skill enhancing his motion. Every footstep breaking stone.
In the blink of an eye, Jinwoo stood before Hwang Dongsuk. His blades slashed out in a deadly arc aimed for the neck—but Dongsuk twisted at the last second.
Too late.
The dagger carved across his cheek, blood spraying.
"Fuck!" he yelled, stumbling back, palm clutching his face. The arrogant smirk was gone.
'How is a summoner like him this fast?! Why is everyone always stronger than me?! I… I deserve power more than anyone else!'
The green glow in his eyes intensified, filling the whites with that cursed color. His muscles tensed. His body felt stronger, more solid. Something inside his mind broke—and rebuilt itself into something monstrous.
"Yes... she was right! Nobody is stronger than me now!" he snarled.
He lunged forward with a savage roar, fists clenched.
Jinwoo didn't flinch. With a thought, he coated both blades in Hell Flames and lightning, the two forces roaring across the steel.
Then he met Dongsuk's charge head-on.
Their clash echoed through the dungeon like a thunderclap.
Flames and lightning exploded outward from their collision, crackling wildly through the air. The very ground shook beneath them as stone fractured under the force of their power.
Jinwoo slid back a step, his boots grinding against the stone. He thrust one foot down, stomping hard, mana surging out like shockwaves through the floor.
"Earth Spike!"
A jagged row of stone spikes erupted from the ground, tearing their way toward Hwang Dongsuk like the jaws of a stone beast.
But Hwang Dongsuk merely grinned—and jumped high into the air, flipping above the spikes.
"Thunderbolt!" Jinwoo roared, his hand crackling with charged mana before a searing bolt of lightning shot upward.
'Fuck!' Hwang Dongsuk cursed internally. Suspended mid-air, there was nowhere to run.
'Isn't he just a summoner?! Just how many elements can this bastard use?!'
The bolt slammed into his chest, hurling him further upward as electricity coursed violently through his body. His muscles seized, limbs twitching.
Below him, Jinwoo was already preparing the next strike.
A massive sphere of roaring purple fire began to form in his palm, swirling with malevolent heat and chaotic, unrelenting magic.
A miniature inferno.
"Infernal Starbust."
He hurled the blazing sphere straight up with devastating force.
'Shit!' Hwang Dongsuk's eyes widened. Still reeling from the thunderbolt, his limbs were too slow. His body too stiff.
He couldn't dodge.
"Die," Jinwoo said, voice low—icy and wrathful—as the sphere of hellfire collided with Hwang Dongsuk.
The flames swallowed him whole mid-air. The dungeon ceiling lit up with violent violet light as the explosion rocked the chamber, shockwaves rippling outward.
Smoke, heat, and embers filled the air.
As the purple inferno raged behind him, Jinwoo bolted toward Choi Yoora, Medusa, and Jinho.
"Are you alright?" he asked urgently, kneeling by Choi Yoora.
She trembled, her body still stiff with fear, but she nodded, eyes brimming with tears.
"Y-Yes... thank you, Jinwoo..." she whispered, her voice weak and shaken.
Jinwoo placed a glowing hand on her shoulder, Healing Magic flowing into her like a gentle warmth. Cuts and bruises faded. Her breathing steadied.
"Stay here for a moment," Jinwoo said firmly. Then he turned and sprinted toward Medusa and Jinho.
He found Medusa still in her serpentine form, bloodied, barely conscious. Jinho lay beside her, also wounded.
Without hesitation, Jinwoo pressed his hands to both of them, healing light pouring from his palms.
He looked at Medusa—this monster girl who had followed him loyally, always by his side since she had come into this world. She had shielded Choi Yoora, one of his women, without a second thought. She had thrown herself in harm's way to protect what Jinwoo held dear.
He'd treated her like a pet. A tool. Having sex with her only when it was convenient to him.
He'd been wrong.
"Medusa..." he murmured, his voice soft, vulnerable.
He smiled.
"Thank you."
As the healing magic coursed through her, Medusa's serpentine form shimmered, scales retracting, her body shifting slowly back into human form. She had burned through all her mana. Without it, she couldn't maintain the transformation.
Jinwoo kept his focus on her… until—
"Jinwoo!" Choi Yoora's scream pierced the air.
Jinwoo's head snapped around—just in time to see a silhouette emerge from the purple flames.
It was Hwang Dongsuk—his body cloaked in an intense green aura, pulsing unnaturally. His skin was cracked and blackened in places, but his eyes burned with madness.
A charged punch gleamed in his fist, aimed straight for Jinwoo's back.
Before Jinwoo could react—
Choi Yoora ran.
"Choi Yoora!" Jinwoo shouted, stunned.
She threw herself in front of him, arms outstretched, her back to the fist.
"Sorry, Jinwoo," she said, smiling through tears.
"You have to live... I—I love you..."
She closed her eyes as the punch bore down, glowing with lethal force.
But then—
Nothing.
To be continued...
