Asher controlled his breathing, still panting from avoiding Barbara since at the bar. While resting on the sofa, he took out a small box from his coat pocket then opened the box. His eyes were sparkling when he saw that the sapphire necklace was still intact. He was worried that this beautiful necklace would fall when he was being chased by Barbara. His right hand slowly stroked the sapphire stone.
"Luckily this necklace wasn't lost."
"You don't want to contact your wife?" Caleb suggested as he packed his things.
"I'll call her in a minute." Asher put the small box back into his coat pocket. "I don't want her to see me in a mess like this. She definitely won't be able to sleep when she sees me in a mess the first time."
