Finn and Darwin continued exploring the forest, their goal being to find the goblins. However, this time they were accompanied by a slime hidden in Finn's backpack.
"Do you really think the slime will be useful to us?" Darwin asked curiously.
"Of course I think so. Just wait and see how it helps us against the monsters. Or maybe you didn't learn anything from yesterday?" Finn asked.
"Well, I have to admit, it's a bit versatile" Darwin said, and Finn nodded.
"Of course it is" Finn affirmed with a big smile.
The two continued their journey until they finally found what appeared to be a makeshift goblin base; it looked as if it was just being built.
The goblins were working hard, cutting down trees and gathering stones from the surrounding area, as well as creating stone and wooden weapons. Finn and Darwin looked at them curiously, as their job was also to find out how advanced the goblins were. As they watched, Finn and Darwin quickly noticed that this time the goblins seemed calmer and more willing to work with each other.
"They look more developed, I'd even think they're somehow transforming for the better" Darwin said, watching the goblins work.
"Yes... if it weren't for the fact that they're still in the same habits" Finn said, looking at some harpies locked in a makeshift cell and a few human bones scattered on the floor. Darwin nodded beside him.
"Well, we have to wait for the witch goblin to appear, then we kill everyone and interrogate the witch goblin" Darwin said, receiving a nod from Finn.
After a few hours of waiting in some trees, Finn saw a hooded goblin arrive with a squad of hobgoblins, quickly alerting Darwin. The goblins quickly gathered around the witch goblin, telling him of their progress and captures.
"Okay, now we just need to lure the goblin witch away somehow so we can capture him and kill the others more easily" Darwin said, trying to come up with a plan, but Finn interrupted him.
"Got it!" Finn said, extending his hand toward the goblin witch and pulling him in with his telekinesis.
Before the goblin witch could reach Finn and Darwin's location, the slime burst out of Finn's backpack and stretched out, transforming into a rope that tied the goblin witch to the tree he was in.
"Well, that solves everything" Darwin said, jumping out of the tree and landing directly on top of some goblins. "Don't let a single one escape!"
"Understood!" Finn said, also launching himself at some goblins.
The goblins and hobgoblins didn't hesitate to launch themselves at Finn and Darwin in order to get their leader back. Darwin swung his sword back and forth, cleaving goblins without difficulty, dodging them as if he knew in advance where they were going to attack from, and sometimes grabbing them by the face and severely burning them with his fire magic.
Finn also swung his sword rapidly while dodging some goblins and using his telekinesis to restrict the movements of others or simply throw them away with a simple flick of his fingers. Extending his hand, Finn immobilized four goblins in front of Darwin, allowing Darwin to cut off their heads with a simple swing of his sword.
Seeing that he had some time before they attacked him again, Darwin held his sword with both hands and, concentrating slightly, was able to manifest fire on the edge of his sword, scaring away several goblins and even hobgoblins. The monsters tried to move away, but Finn held them back again for a few seconds so Darwin could kill them.
After a few minutes, the smell of burning flesh and blood spread through the forest, disgusting Finn and Darwin. While Finn was busy getting the goblin witch down from the tree and immobilizing him, Darwin walked over to the harpies' cell and quickly killed them, as well as the goblin babies that had already given birth.
"Deep throats, huh?" Darwin remembered what Cristel had told them about the harpies.
Shaking off those thoughts, Darwin turned to Finn.
"You've really made progress with your telekinesis magic," Darwin mentioned, approaching Finn.
"Have I made progress? You're the one who can now draw fire from his sword," Finn said, remembering the flaming sword.
"Nah, I just replicated what I did with my light magic, but this time with fire magic," Darwin affirmed, downplaying it. "Although, it was a little more difficult."
"Well, I did something similar. Instead of focusing on stopping each goblin's entire body, I just stopped a single part of it. That prevents them from moving no matter how hard they try," Finn revealed, surprising Darwin. "That's how I stopped the goblins before you killed them. I simply focused on using my telekinesis on their heads, so they couldn't move."
"Now that's a clever way to use magic," Darwin said, turning to look at the goblin witch, who was upside down, spinning rapidly on the ground.
Taking a rope from his backpack, Darwin told Finn to remove the slime so he could tie the goblin witch to something more solid. Once they tied him to a tree trunk, they began the interrogation.
"Speak quickly, or else…"
"Or else what? They'll kill me? Hahahaha," the goblin witch interrupted Darwin, mocking them. "Stupid humans, dead or alive, I won't tell you anything, hahaha! You're idiots. If you think you'll be able to get information from…"
Smack! Smack!
Silence reigned for a moment. The goblin's rosy cheeks and the incredulous looks of the goblin and Darwin said it all. In front of the goblin was the floating slime in the shape of a large cock, swaying from side to side.
"Talk or this will go straight into your mouth…" Finn threatened, his gaze serious and emotionless as he faced the goblin.
"Do you think I'm going to give in for a damn slime? I'd rather die than… ARGH, ARGH, ARGH." Before he could finish speaking, the slime furiously entered and exited the goblin's mouth.
This lasted at least 15 seconds before Finn finally decided to pull the slime out of the goblin's mouth. Darwin covered his mouth, staring in horror at what Finn had just done. It had never occurred to him to use the slime to do such a thing, but then he looked at the goblin with renewed resolve and malice.
"Tell us how the hell they're gaining intelligence and the ability to use magic, or next time the slime will be up your ass!" Finn demanded, directing the slime to the goblin's back entrance.
"Ptth... never," said the goblin, spitting at Finn's feet.
"Put it in," Darwin said seriously.
"As you wish..." said Finn before raising his fingers.
—
"It's the arrow-shaped stone... it's the stone... sob... please... stop... please" the goblin cried, lying on the ground, tired.
"That's it... now we're getting somewhere" Darwin said, stroking the goblin's head. "Now tell us, where is that stone?"
"I don't know... I swear..." said the goblin, shaking his head.
"Tsk, I see you're still stubborn..." said Darwin, signaling to Finn.
"No. I SWEAR I DON'T KNOW, PLEASE NO MORE!" The goblin shouted in fear.
"Give him a double portion, let's see if he remembers that way," Darwin said, looking at Finn, who nodded.
"Now you'll know why they call my slime 'donkey'" Finn said, as the slime began to stretch until it split in two.
"No… NO… NOOOOO!!!!" the goblin shouted.
—
Six hours later, Finn and Darwin were eating protein bars by a campfire. They had both gathered information about the possible location of the stone arrow, and if it wasn't there, they would simply have to repeat the process again.
"I have to admit. At first, I didn't think that slime would be useful to us, but now I regret having doubted it," Darwin said, looking at the backpack where the slime was trapped.
"Yes. This guy will definitely make our job easier," Finn nodded.
"Once we're done with the mission, what will you do with the slime? Will you kill it?" Darwin asked curiously.
"No way, what if we have to go on another interrogation mission? Where will we get a new smile?" Finn asked, causing Darwin to nod in agreement.
"Right, we have to keep this boy with us" Darwin nodded.
"Besides, I'm sure Cristel will love the slime. Knowing her taste for monsters, she'll surely find more ways to use this little one with monsters," Finn affirmed, and Darwin fully agreed. "Plus, I think it will help me better understand my telekinesis magic and develop it."
"In what way?" Darwin asked curiously.
"I want to develop something similar to tactile telekinesis" Finn replied.
"Tactile telekinesis? Wouldn't that be worse since you have to touch everything? Actually, wouldn't that be the same as just using your hands?" Darwin asked, confused.
"No… It's quite difficult to explain. I think it would be easier if I showed it to you once I've developed it," Finn said, causing Darwin to simply shrug. "By the way, you didn't forget to take video, right? Amelia said that videos from now on would be very important for evaluating adventurers."
"Don't worry, I took everything in high definition," Darwin affirmed.
—
Over the next three days, Finn and Darwin dedicated themselves entirely to attacking base after base around the forest, all in an effort to find the aforementioned arrow-shaped stone. Each time they reached a new base, the witch goblins claimed the stone was in the hands of other witch goblins. Until they finally found a base that was relatively larger than the previous ones.
The base in front of Finn and Darwin could easily be the same size as the towns where the dukes lived, according to Darwin. The base was so large that it seemed incredible to Finn and Darwin that no one else had stumbled upon it by pure chance. At first glance, they could see that the base was full of hobgoblins and ogres, and there were hardly any goblins around.
"Well, I recommend we retreat to a safe place to rest and attack them at dawn tomorrow" said Darwin.
"Yeah, that would be the most rational thing to do. Besides, I don't think we need to look for the goblin witch" said Finn, pointing to a tent much larger than the others. "We can go in while it's dark, knock out the goblin, get him out of this village, and then raze everything here."
"I think that's a great idea," said Darwin.
—
In another remote area, a group of hooded figures arrived at the first base where Finn and Darwin had passed. The hooded figures approached to observe the scene. One of them approached the cell where the harpies and the goblin creatures were.
"I told you something was wrong around here" said a boy, taking off his hood and revealing wolf ears.
"They wiped out the base quickly, they definitely knew what they were doing" said an older man, also removing his hood and revealing other wolf ears.
"Ugh, how disgusting!!" a girl shouted a little away from them. "The filthy bastards raped him!"
The others approached, seeing the goblin lying with a sword mark piercing his head from side to side.
"Oh, gods! Was this guy raped by a centaur or something?!" asked the young man, looking at the goblin's ass.
"No… this is torture. They wanted something from him" said the older man.
"And boy did they get it…" replied the girl, covering her butt.
"Don't be stupid. Didn't you learn anything from what you were taught in the animal kingdom?" The man asked, "Don't just observe with your eyes, smell your surroundings, feel the magic in the area."
"I'm not going to smell anything" the boy said, covering his nose.
"Magic! The goblin has residual magic in his body!" the girl answered quickly.
"That's right, good job, this goblin possessed magic, just as the other adventurers had described before" the man said.
"Okay, but what was the need to do that to him?" the boy asked, looking at the goblin.
"Torture, both physical and mental. Whoever did this knew exactly how to break a goblin's pride" the man commented.
"Oh, and boy did he break it" the girl said, unable to stop staring at the goblin. "So it was a centaur?"
"I doubt it. Centaurs have a certain appearance to maintain with outside races, especially humans. If someone were to spread the rumor that a centaur was doing this, then it would only further tarnish their reputation" the man replied.
"So what was it?" the boy asked.
"Most likely, they inserted something into him, not necessarily a penis" the man replied, standing up. "Come on, we have to go to the kingdom to report this."
"That they raped a goblin? weren't we against them?" the girl asked.
"Don't be an idiot. We'll report that there are indeed goblins with the ability to use magic" the man said.
"Oh, right…" the girl replied. "I hope we don't run into the guys who did this…"
"Why, couldn't you resist trying the same thing?" the boy asked, mockingly.
