With an overwhelming and thunderous kick, Kai struck Orochimaru's head just as it was about to sink its fangs into Anko's neck.
Thanks to Kai's perfect Sage Body, the sheer force of the kick was nothing short of terrifying. Orochimaru's head was sent flying, with half of it caved in from the impact.
Orochimaru's neck quickly retracted, and suddenly, he opened his mouth wide. In a grotesque and eerie display, he emerged from his own mouth, his entire body still covered in mucus. His previous body lay limp and lifeless on the ground.
Despite Kai's devastating attack, Orochimaru showed no anger. Instead, he looked at Kai with great interest and asked, "A Flying Thunder God Technique that doesn't require seals for spatial movement? A perfect space-time ninjutsu. I wonder if you'd be willing to research it with me, Kai-kun?"
"Brother!" Seeing Kai's arrival, Anko immediately ran over, hugging him tightly and calling out pitifully.
"It's alright now, little Anko." Kai gently patted her back to comfort her, then turned his icy gaze toward Orochimaru and said coldly, "Orochimaru, you shouldn't have laid a hand on Anko."
Orochimaru chuckled. "My apologies, Kai-kun. I only wanted to give the adorable little Anko a parting gift."
"Orochimaru, why would you conduct forbidden experiments and even use so many villagers from the village?" The Third Hokage looked at Orochimaru with a face full of sorrow and regret. Among his three disciples, Orochimaru was the most talented and outstanding, and also his favorite. The Third Hokage never imagined things would come to this. Although he had known Orochimaru had been conducting forbidden experiments, he hadn't expected it to reach such horrifying levels.
Even though the Third Hokage didn't know why these experiments were only discovered by the ANBU today, the hundreds of corpses of Konoha villagers in those cultivation chambers, coupled with Orochimaru's blatant admission, were undeniable evidence.
Orochimaru showed no sadness on his face. Instead, he spoke with a fervent expression, "Sarutobi-sensei, don't you think that humans are such fragile beings? Life is fleeting. I want to make my life eternal so I can master all ninjutsu!"
"Orochimaru, I won't allow you to defect! I won't!" Jiraiya shouted passionately from the side.
"Jiraiya, you're as foolish as ever," Orochimaru remarked indifferently, then turned his gaze to Kai, his expression turning persuasive. "A genius like you, Kai-kun, must understand my vision, right? Come with me and leave Konoha, Kai-kun."
"Utterly ridiculous." Kai sneered. Who wouldn't desire immortality? He was no exception. However, he had no regard for Orochimaru's method of achieving it. Using the Living Corpse Reincarnation technique to switch bodies would weaken the soul with each reincarnation, eventually leading to its complete annihilation. To Kai, this was no different from killing the goose that laid the golden eggs.
When Orochimaru abandoned his original body, the damage to his soul had already doomed him to fail in his pursuit of eternity.
Hearing Kai's words, Orochimaru looked disappointed and sighed. "I didn't expect even a genius like Kai-kun to fail to understand my vision."
"Orochimaru, stay here. The old man will surely forgive you," Jiraiya continued to plead anxiously, then turned to the Third Hokage. "Old man, right?"
The Third Hokage remained silent. This time, Orochimaru's crimes were too severe. Using the villagers for human experimentation was unforgivable. Even if he wanted to, the Third Hokage couldn't shield him.
Seeing the Third Hokage's silence, a trace of disappointment flashed in Orochimaru's eyes, though it quickly disappeared. He looked at Jiraiya and said, "Jiraiya, today, let's sever our bond."
Orochimaru held the Kusanagi Sword, ready to fight Jiraiya.
"Orochimaru, I told you, you shouldn't have laid a hand on Anko!" Finally, Kai's killing intent could no longer be suppressed. It erupted violently as his left eye's black pupil turned cyan, and his entire body became enveloped in cyan chakra.

"Tenseigan!" Jiraiya wasn't too surprised, having seen this state on the battlefield of the Land of Lightning.
The Third Hokage and Orochimaru, however, had never witnessed such a phenomenon. Hearing Jiraiya's words, they turned their gaze to him.

Both the Third Hokage and Orochimaru were shocked. Although they had heard that Kai had killed the Third Raikage, Jiraiya had never mentioned that Kai had also split the Land of Lightning in half. Was this even something a ninja could achieve?
Orochimaru looked at Kai with fiery eyes. "Kai-kun, can you tell me about the Tenseigan? Is it the kekkei genkai of the Mitarashi clan?"
At this moment, Orochimaru had not yet been defeated by Itachi Uchiha, so his obsession with dojutsu kekkei genkai was not as intense as it would become later. However, he was still fervently curious about unknown kekkei genkai.

Orochimaru's body was torn into several pieces by the storm's force. However, looking at the limp arm, Kai could tell that Orochimaru had likely used a substitution technique at the last moment to escape. Still, he didn't care.
Kai's attack on Orochimaru was merely to vent his anger for Anko. Since Orochimaru had managed to escape and there was no further grudge, Kai couldn't be bothered to pursue him.
The power of the Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion was not limited to Orochimaru. Its aftermath wreaked havoc across several kilometers, toppling trees and tearing up the ground. The dense forest had disappeared, and it was clear that it would take decades for the area to recover its original landscape.
"I'm leaving now." Looking at the stunned Third Hokage and Jiraiya, Kai carried Anko and disappeared using Divine Descent.
