Charlie Wesley didn't press further. With a tense expression, he strode forward, his long legs moving briskly.
That evening, Bonnie finished work and stepped out of her company building. A sleek black Maybach slowly pulled up in front of her, blocking her way.
Who's that?
Just as she was wondering, the window rolled down, revealing the strikingly handsome face of a man.
Bonnie blinked in surprise for a few seconds, then her eyes lit up. "Charlie! You're back!"
She quickly opened the door and got in. Charlie's lips curved faintly as he caught her in an embrace. Tilting his head slightly, he spoke coolly to the driver, "Home."
"When did you get back? Why didn't you tell me? Is Mom home?"
Charlie calmly smoothed out the wrinkles she had made on his shirt. "She's home. When she heard you were still at the office, she asked me to pick you up."
"Oh."
Charlie lifted his eyes and looked at her. "Bonnie."
