"Can't you absorb this energy any faster?" Luis asked.
"I can't, because I don't have a skilled enough controller. Even Zarion wasn't skilled enough to control me, and you certainly aren't ready yet," the eye replied.
"So, you can't do anything on your own?" Luis rolled his eyes.
"I was essentially designed to be used by someone. If I could do everything on my own, I wouldn't need to follow anyone. And I constantly need energy to stay alive—otherwise, I'll die. So, later, you'll have to prepare a lot of Monster Cores for me," the eye said.
Luis fell silent after hearing that, deciding not to talk further so as not to offend the eye and risk it refusing to follow him.
Because of that, he waited as a mosquito.
Everything seemed calm, and he thought nothing would go wrong.
Time passed—an hour, then two.
The Monster Cores in the basement became fewer, while the eye appeared much more lively.
"This is enough for now." The eye's voice echoed in Luis's mind again.
Whoosh!
