Chapter 59 - Chapter 59: I really envy you

"A Rank 1 metallic monster core costs between 400 to 500 gold coins gold coins each. A Rank 2 metallic monster core costs 4,000 to 5,000 gold coins each."

"A Rank 3 metallic monster core costs 200,000 gold coins each….."

Soon, the steward finished explaining the prices of metallic monster cores of each level to the Little Fairy Doctor.

Then, he turned to her and asked, "What level of monster core do you need?"

The Little Fairy Doctor hesitated for a moment before replying slowly, "Give me three Rank 5 monster cores first."

The steward was momentarily stunned by her request but quickly composed himself, giving her a more serious look.

'Good heavens, this girl is clearly not short on money. She's asking for Rank 5 monster cores right off the bat! No wonder she can afford to bathe with jade bone powder.'

Fortunately, he had stocked up on a few more metallic monster cores this week; otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to fulfill her request today.

Regaining his composure, he replied respectfully, "Please wait a moment, miss. I'll be back shortly."

With that, the steward turned and left.

After he departed, Nalan Yanran looked at the Little Fairy Doctor in surprise and asked, "Junior Sister, why are you buying so many Rank 5 monster cores? Even for alchemy, you wouldn't need such high-level cores, would you?"

In Nalan Yanran's mind, the Little Fairy Doctor's purchase of metallic monster cores could only be for alchemy purposes. However, Rank 5 monster cores were typically used as materials for fifth tier pills. She couldn't understand why her junior sister would need such expensive cores.

Hearing this, the Little Fairy Doctor hesitated for a moment before retrieving an egg from her spatial ring.

"Senior Sister, teacher gave me this Rank 5 magical beast egg. I asked him about it, and he said it's a metal-attribute beast, so I need to buy metallic monster cores for it to absorb in order to hatch," the Little Fairy Doctor explained slowly.

Nalan Yanran: "..."

She stared at the Rank 5 magical beast egg in the Little Fairy Doctor's hands, momentarily speechless.

'This is a Rank 5 magical beast egg! It must be worth at least several million gold coins, right? Does Elder Gu He really give such precious gifts to his disciples?'

As she gazed at the egg, a pang of sadness crept into Nalan Yanran's heart.

'Elder Gu He is far too generous with his disciples. My teacher would never give me such an extravagant gift.'

Recalling the jade bone powder from earlier, Nalan Yanran couldn't help but say, "Junior Sister, I'm really envious of you. Elder Gu He treats you so well."

Hearing this, the Little Fairy Doctor smiled warmly. "Teacher has always been very kind to me. He gives me many gifts every month. This Rank 5 magical beast egg is one he gave me just a week ago."

As she spoke, she cradled the egg in her hands, her face lighting up with a sweet smile.

'I'm so envious!' Seeing her junior sister's joyful expression, Nalan Yanran's envy only grew.

The Little Fairy Doctor gently stroked the egg for a while before carefully storing it back in her spatial ring, treating it as if it were a priceless treasure.

Soon, the steward returned, carrying two exquisitely crafted bags.

"Honored guest, here are your ten bottles of Jade Muscle Essence, totaling 10 gold coins," the steward said, handing one of the bags to Nalan Yanran.

Nalan Yanran extended her delicate hand to take the bag and then handed over a purple-gold card to the steward.

"A three-pattern purple-gold card..." The steward glanced at the card and immediately regarded Nalan Yanran with greater respect.

'The three-pattern purple-gold card is only issued to individuals of great status, such as powerful fighters. This young lady may not have the cultivation level of a dou grandmaster, but her family background must be extraordinary.'

After processing Nalan Yanran's payment, the steward turned his attention to the Little Fairy Doctor.

She smiled softly and retrieved a purple-gold card from her spatial ring—a gift from Elder Gu He.

When the steward saw the card, his eyes widened in shock. "A seven-pattern purple-gold card!"

His expression changed instantly, and he quickly bowed to the Little Fairy Doctor, his tone now filled with utmost respect. "My apologies, honored guest. I didn't realize who you were. Please, allow me to escort you to the VIP room."

The steward's attitude toward the Little Fairy Doctor had shifted dramatically.

As a seasoned professional, he had undergone rigorous training.

The Mittel family's senior management had decreed that anyone entering their auction house with a purple-gold card was to be treated as a distinguished guest, deserving of the highest level of respect.

He recalled a high-ranking official once saying that those bearing a seven-pattern purple-gold card were to be treated with the same reverence as the family head. After all, anyone carrying such a card was someone even the Mittel family could not afford to offend.

At that moment, the steward felt a wave of anxiety, fearing that his earlier behavior might have displeased the honored guest before him.

'If I've offended someone carrying a seven-pattern purple-gold card, I might as well be digging my own grave.'

"A seven-pattern purple-gold card?" Beside them, Nalan Yanran's pupils contracted slightly at the steward's exclamation.

'The seven-pattern purple-gold card is only issued to powerful cultivators or fifth tier alchemists. Could Elder Gu He have given this to junior sister as well?'

Sensing Nalan Yanran's gaze, the Little Fairy Doctor smiled sweetly again. "This was also a gift from teacher."

Then, she turned to the steward and said politely, "There's no need for the VIP room. We'll be leaving soon."

Suddenly, she remembered something and asked, "Do you have any poisonous herbs here?"

"Poisonous herbs?" The steward was momentarily puzzled.

The Little Fairy Doctor clarified, "Yes, toxic plants or herbs."

The steward quickly nodded. "Yes, we do."

"Then please bring me some second and third-tier poisonous herbs," she requested politely.

Though confused, the steward replied promptly, "Of course. Please wait a moment. I'll fetch them right away."

This time, the steward left and returned even quicker.

"Honored guest, here are the metallic monster cores you requested, as well as the poisonous herbs. The total comes to 100 million gold coins. However, with your seven-pattern purple-gold card, you're eligible for a 20% discount, bringing the final price to 80 million gold coins."

"Your card originally had 150 million gold coins, and after the deduction, the remaining balance is 70 million gold coins," the steward explained carefully as he handed over the items.

The Little Fairy Doctor accepted the two bags with a smile. "Thank you."

Meanwhile, Nalan Yanran was utterly stunned. "80 million gold coins? Good heavens!"

She looked at the Little Fairy Doctor's calm expression and murmured, "Junior Sister, I really envy you!"
