Chapter 64 - Chapter 64: Teacher, it's so good to have you

In the room, Gu He's expression was solemn as he spoke, "Tell me, since you considered using poison, why did you insist on using a chronic poison like the Ten-Fragrance Soft Tendon Powder? No, it should be called a chronic pill!"

"Just think about it—if you had used an acute poison at that time, would things have turned out the way they did later? When dealing with enemies, you must never show mercy! Kindness to an enemy is cruelty to yourself. Silly girl, do you understand?"

After finishing his words, Gu He fixed his gaze on the Little Fairy Doctor lying on the bed.

Beside them, Nalan Yanran listened intently, a thoughtful expression flashing across her delicate face.

Elder Gu He's words seemed to make sense. However, why did Elder Gu He suddenly feel a little intimidating? In Nalan Yanran's memory, Gu He had always been upright, elegant, and approachable. But today, a new image of him emerged in her mind—one that was slightly unsettling.

"Crack!"

Hearing Gu He's words, the Little Fairy Doctor was momentarily stunned before replying weakly, "But, Teacher, I only had those pills on me..."

Gu He fell silent for a moment, then asked, somewhat exasperated, "Did you learn how to refine pils from the Seven-Colored Poison Sutra?"

The Little Fairy Doctor nodded weakly, then quickly shook her head.

Gu He's mouth twitched slightly. "What do you mean?"

In a soft voice, the Little Fairy Doctor explained, "Teacher, I thought the other poisons in the Seven-Colored Poison Sutra were too potent, so I didn't refine them."

Gu He sighed helplessly. "Disciple, I know you have a kind heart, but you must always be wary of others. With your temperament, you will surely suffer if you venture out into the world."

The Little Fairy Doctor nodded thoughtfully and replied obediently, "Teacher, I understand."

Gu He nodded, though he couldn't help but sigh inwardly. This girl was far too innocent. He could only hope that this experience would change her.

After a moment, Gu He retrieved a cyan jade talisman from his spatial ring and handed it to the Little Fairy Doctor.

The Little Fairy Doctor took the jade talisman and asked curiously, "Teacher, what is this?"

Gu He smiled and explained, "This is called the Void Jade Talisman. In the future, if you encounter a life-and-death crisis like today, simply crush the talisman, and the crisis will be resolved."

Hearing this, the Little Fairy Doctor's eyes lit up, and she gazed at the jade talisman in her hand in awe. "Teacher, what kind of treasure is this? It's so magical!"

Gu He smiled lightly. "This talisman was refined by me using my own blood essence. As long as you crush it, no matter where you are, I will come to you instantly."

"What a miraculous talisman!" The Little Fairy Doctor caressed the cyan jade talisman as if it were a priceless treasure. Then, looking at Gu He, she was deeply moved. "Teacher, thank you. I have caused you so much worry."

She understood that her near-death experience the previous day had prompted her teacher to refine this talisman for her protection.

Gu He shook his head and gently patted her head. "There's no other way. You two are my precious disciples, and your kind nature leaves me no choice but to take such measures."

The Little Fairy Doctor nestled into Gu He's arms and said sweetly, "Teacher, you're the best!"

On the side, Nalan Yanran watched the affectionate exchange between master and disciple with envy in her eyes. Elder Gu He was truly kind to his disciples. Her gaze lingered on the Void Jade Talisman in the Little Fairy Doctor's hand, and she couldn't help but feel a pang of desire. She, too, wanted such a magical talisman.

At that moment, she even considered asking Elder Gu He for one. But realizing that the talisman had been specially prepared for his disciples, she felt too embarrassed to speak up.

Noticing Nalan Yanran's conflicted expression, Gu He smiled slightly and understood her thoughts. "Yanran, come here," he called out to her.

Hearing this, Nalan Yanran snapped out of her thoughts and approached nervously.

'Is Elder Gu He going to reprimand me?' she wondered uneasily. After all, if she hadn't secretly taken her junior sister out of the sect, this incident would never have happened. Moreover, if she hadn't dragged her junior sister into danger, the Little Fairy Doctor wouldn't have been injured.

"Take it," Gu He said, extending his hand.

Nalan Yanran, who had been staring at the ground, looked up in surprise to see a cyan jade talisman in Gu He's palm. "Elder Gu He, is this... for me?" she asked, disbelief evident in her voice.

Gu He smiled his usual elegant smile. "Yanran, you've worked hard these past few days. If it weren't for your guidance and the practical combat experience you provided, the situation this time could have been much worse."

Hearing this, Nalan Yanran immediately understood that Gu He was referring to their sparring sessions.

Her face flushed with embarrassment as she realized that, given the Little Fairy Doctor's true strength, her junior sister had been holding back during their matches.

'There's such a huge gap in our strength. Junior Sister must have had a hard time, right? Was she afraid of hurting me if she used her full strength?'

Originally, the Little Fairy Doctor had been the one feeling ashamed. But now, being reminded of it by Gu He, Nalan Yanran felt a wave of shame herself.

"Elder Gu He, I..." Nalan Yanran began, her expression uneasy.

Gu He, mistaking her hesitation for embarrassment, said gently, "Accept it. You entered the sect under my watch, and I am your elder. Consider this a gift from an elder to a junior."

Hearing this, Nalan Yanran was momentarily stunned before warmth filled her heart. Her expression softened as she replied, "Then Yanran thanks Elder Gu He."

Gu He smiled, thinking to himself that if he were to take Nalan Yanran as his disciple in the future, this gift wouldn't be considered free—it could be seen as an advance meeting gift.

"By the way, girl," Gu He suddenly remembered something and took out three Tier 5 metallic magic cores from his spatial ring, handing them to the Little Fairy Doctor. "Your Iron-Winged Giant Eagle probably hasn't started hatching yet. These three Tier 5 metallic magic cores should help it hatch successfully."

After so many days, the Golden-Feathered Giant Eagle egg in Gu He's spatial ring had absorbed enough dou qi and had stopped absorbing more just the previous day.

Gu He guessed that the day of its hatching wasn't far off. Since these three Tier 5 metallic magic cores hadn't been absorbed by the Golden-Feathered Giant Eagle, he decided to give them to the Little Fairy Doctor for her Iron-Winged Giant Eagle egg.

The Little Fairy Doctor stared blankly at the magic cores in Gu He's hand. A mist quickly formed in her crystal-clear eyes as she murmured, "Teacher, it's so good to have you."
