"Senju Seimei of Team 1-S WINS!"
The referee declared, and then he called for the medic. After all, Senju Naoki was still lying on the ground, paralyzed and moderately charred from Seimei's lightning discharge.
Electric sparks flickered every now and then around Naoki's body, making his body convulse involuntarily.
His clothes were burned to a crisp, too.
Fortunately, his body was still covered by the remnants of his combat clothes that Seimei could only consider rags.
Otherwise, this battle would have turned into a bare exhibition of Naoki's 'great' tool, showcasing just how robust and vigorous a certain 'third leg' of the Senju clan Shinobi could be.
If that happened, poor Naoki might have vanished from the face of Earth for a few weeks, digging a literal hole for him to hide in shame.
Thankfully, such a situation had been averted.
Seimei looked at his clansman while silently saying "Amen" in his mind.
It looks painful.
However, thanks to my Tenseigan, I can already see that his body cells are working tirelessly to mend the damage even now.
If he receives treatment from a professional medical ninja, he should recover within a day, waking up as fresh as lettuce.
Most Shinobi lacking the healing factor of the Senju clan members would have required hospitalization for at least a week or two to recover and regain their combat prowess if they had been electrocuted by my last attack.
That's Senju and their insane physique for ya!
While the medical team was making their way toward Naoki, both Seimei, who electrocuted Naoki, and the Seimei who was pulled into the ground with only his head staying above the surface, vanished with a puff of smoke.
Puff~ Puff~
It was clear now. These two Seimei were nothing but shadow clones.
Soon, the real Seimei slowly emerged from the ground and casually began to remove the dust from his clothes.
"Damn. I really need to learn a specialized Earth Release Ninjutsu to travel through the ground quickly without being covered by dust."
Although his refined chakra control and mastery of the Earth nature transformation could allow him to hide underground and travel through the Earth, it was nowhere as effortless as doing it through a specialized Jutsu.
"When…?"
"Hmm?" Suddenly, Seimei heard the strained voice of Senju Naoki and looked at him as the medical ninjas were transporting him to the stretcher.
"When…did you swap…with a clone?"
Senju Naoki asked again.
Hearing this, Seimei tilted his head a bit before finally replying, "Oh, that?"
"I swapped with my clone when I formed that lightning dome. You should have guessed that you know."
"Standard Shinobi tactics," said Seimei before shrugging his shoulders nonchalantly.
Hearing this, Naoki wanted to curse at him, but his current injuries prevented him from doing so.
Standard ninja tactics, my ass.
Who could have guessed that you would be daring enough to make a shadow clone and transfer the control of your highly volatile lightning balls to him before diving underground?
Weren't you afraid that the thunder dome created by high-speed lightning balls would collapse on you?
We are both Senju and not even adults yet. Then why does your chakra control seem unreal?
Are you cheating?
Naoki cursed inwardly as he was escorted to the medical ward.
Meanwhile, the referee, Inuzuka Hiro, turned his head to Seimei and instructed, "Alright."
"Your match is over. Now, head back to your team's camp."
"Understood," responded Seimei as he quietly activated the Body Flicker Technique and arrived at the entrance of his team's camp within a second.
His match was over.
The last match between Uchiha Reina and Hyuga Itsuki would begin in 15 minutes. Once this match was over, the tournament would officially come to an end.
While thinking about what he would do after the competition ended, he slowly walked into his team's resting place.
Inside, he saw Reina lounging around lazily with a glass of orange juice in her hand.
No sense of seriousness at all. He was pretty sure that she didn't even bother to create a battle strategy to counter Hyuga Itsuki.
During the strategy meeting, she just glanced at the file containing Hyuga Itsuki's updated information once before discarding it entirely.
Then again, with her strength, she might not need to create elaborate battle strategies at all.
Plus, some people were better at fighting by relying on their innate combat instincts, and his friend, Reina, happened to be one such person.
So, Seimei didn't bother to say anything, grabbed a glass of apple juice for himself, and sat right beside Reina.
He used a basic application of Water Release to chill the juice a little, took a sip, and let out a contented sigh.
"Haaa~"
"Cold juices are the best!"
Beside him, Uchiha Reina cast him a glance with a weird expression on her face.
She still couldn't get used to his usual antics of using Ninjutsu for normal life and household stuff. After all, whether it was her or any other Shinobi, they had all considered Ninjutsu to be nothing but a weapon of destruction.
Watching someone using Ninjutsu so casually to solve daily household issues and to make life more comfortable felt weird, to say the least.
Still, it isn't a bad thing.
Such ingenious use of chakra and basic application of Ninjutsu does make life easier.
Perhaps I should also consider trying something similar.
Thinking about that, she pushed her glass of orange juice to Seimei and requested, "Chill it for me, Seimei."
Although she also had an innate Water Release affinity, she hadn't focused on developing it in this life after her regression yet.
Sure, she could still produce water using her chakra and manipulate its shape. However, her mastery wasn't high enough to control the temperature of the water particles.
However, Seimei could easily do it with his Lv.5 water affinity and mastery over water nature transformation.
Hearing this, Seimei paused and grabbed the glass from Reina's hand.
"Very well," said Seimei before he began manipulating the water particles of the juice with his chakra and caused the orange juice's overall temperature to drop as low as 5°C.
With this, Seimei was done chilling her drink and handed the glass of cold orange juice back to Reina.
Reina grabbed the glass and took a sip before giving off a refreshing smile.
"Thank you," said Reina.
That radiant smile almost made Seimei's heart skip a beat. Almost.
He reminded himself that Reina was just a little girl. And although he was also a little boy, he was a mature adult soul who had lived for more than thirty years mentally, adding his previous life on Earth and this one in the Shinobi continent.
His brain silently played the scene of a group of FBI agents breaking through the door of his home and arresting him while pointing countless muzzles of guns at him.
Fortunately, his mature mind and ninja training helped him regain his composure almost instantly.
He simply nodded at Reina without any expression on his face and replied, "No problem."
With this, two kids, one transmigrator and one regressor, kept sipping their juices while waiting for the referee to announce the beginning of the next match.
