The next morning came faster than Gray expected.
His alarm buzzed at 5:30 a.m., but he was already half-awake by the time it rang. There was a strange mixture of nerves and excitement in his chest as he sat up and stretched.
Today was his first official day as CEO.
He stepped into the bathroom, splashed cold water on his face, and stared at himself in the mirror. His hair was slightly messy, and his eyes were a little puffy from the late-night research. But underneath that, he was ready.
After a quick shower, he dressed in one of the few formal outfits he owned. A white dress shirt, navy slacks, and a charcoal blazer. It wasn't flashy, but it was clean and looked presentable.
Still, Gray made a mental note as he adjusted his sleeves.
'I need to buy more clothes like this.' He only had three proper dress shirts in total, and two pairs of slacks. If he was going to do this job every day, his wardrobe wouldn't last the week.
