Chapter 59 - **Chapter 59: Federal Response Agency**

Roy was feeling pretty bored in his cell.

It was Christmas Eve, and the police station was dead quiet. There weren't even any other inmates to keep him company, nobody to chat with at all.

This was Roy's second time in a holding cell. Last time, at least he had Chief Hughes to talk to, but this time it was just too dull.

Roy remembered he had a destiny treasure chest he hadn't opened yet, so he called out to the system, ready to open it for some fun. "System, open Chucky's destiny treasure chest!"

[Opening Chucky's destiny treasure chest…]

[He got 1 point for his Constitution stat!]

[And he also got 'Baron Samedi'!]

As one of the legendary characters who's tough to kill, it wasn't surprising that Chucky dropped a Constitution stat point, bringing Roy's Constitution up to 31. But getting a book from Chucky was a bit unexpected for Roy.

Based on the knowledge from the Key of Solomon, Baron Samedi is the Voodoo spirit of death, who has power over death itself. Considering that Chucky knows witchcraft related to transferring souls and resurrection, could it be that his magic comes from Voodoo?

Voodoo, also known as Vodou, is both a religion and a type of witchcraft. This religion is most famous for zombies, created by bringing people back to life through special methods, turning them into tireless and hungerless slaves – definitely the kind of magic capitalists would love.

["Baron Samedi": A legendary and supposedly lost ancient Voodoo text. Those with the talent can master the power within its pages.]

Since there wasn't even a guard watching the holding cell, Roy just took "Baron Samedi" out of his inventory and started flipping through it. The book was full of dark and cruel black magic, including necromancy and voodoo spells. Some of the stuff even made Roy frown.

After reading for a bit, Roy put the book back in his inventory. Any more and he'd probably lose his appetite.

Having been in the holding cell until Christmas Eve, Roy figured Arthur must have run into some trouble. If he could have gotten him out, Arthur would have definitely come to bail him out by now.

During this time, Heather came to visit Roy. She was also trying to find a way to get him out. But Heather had always been a regular person, and her worldly experience probably wasn't even greater than those two high school girls, Needy and Jennifer.

Roy told Heather to relax, assuring her that he'd be fine, and managed to convince her to go home. With that, the holding cell at Snowdrift Mountain Police Station went back to being quiet.

Looks like his first Christmas Eve in this world was probably going to be spent in a holding cell. Quite a unique way to celebrate Christmas Eve. While everyone else was at home eating turkey, Roy was having a set meal in a holding cell.

Just as he was thinking this, the big-bearded sheriff walked in. "Mr. Black, we've got people from up top here. Maybe you can still make it to the Christmas Eve party."

So soon? Roy was a little surprised. Was the American government's efficiency really that high?

"Sheriff, could you maybe tell me who exactly came?"

The big-bearded sheriff actually liked Roy. He was a handsome and cheerful young guy, the kind of person who was hard for anyone, male or female, to dislike. Plus, Roy hadn't cried or caused any trouble since being put in the holding cell, which made the sheriff's job a lot easier.

"It's a real looker, the kind you're best at handling!" The big-bearded sheriff winked at Roy. He was pretty impressed that Roy had three beautiful women visit him during the day, two of whom were even best friends.

Roy wasn't as optimistic as the big-bearded sheriff. A beautiful woman could potentially be even more trouble to deal with. Still, Roy straightened his clothes and tried to look his best before facing whoever was from the Federal Response Agency.

The big-bearded sheriff led Roy into the interrogation room. Just as he'd said, there was a beautiful blonde woman with chocolate skin inside, and she had two tough-looking guys in black suits sitting next to her. The blonde woman was wearing a sharp white blouse and a little suit jacket. Her expression was really cold, but her eyes flickered slightly when she saw Roy walk in.

Whoa, isn't that Jessica Alba? Roy looked at the blonde woman in surprise, realizing he'd run into another special character. Jessica Alba was a huge star back in the day, playing a lot of roles. He just didn't know which movie or show this capable female agent was from.

"Roy Black?"

The capable female agent glanced at the statement Roy had given earlier.

"Yes."

"Regarding the case from last night, I've looked into it, and it's pretty clear you're innocent." Hearing this, Roy was a bit taken aback.

"Then why even ask anything? Why not just let me go?"

"Actually, I have a few other things I need to ask you. You're from Falls Town, is that right?" The capable female agent's sudden question about his hometown made Roy feel a little uneasy.

Luckily, Roy had long since gotten used to keeping a poker face. Don't ask how, just assume it came from his experience as a ladies' man.

"With the kind of resources your secret agencies have, finding out where I'm from shouldn't be too hard."

The capable female agent tapped the table. "You just need to answer my questions. Don't bring up things that aren't relevant!"

"Yes."

"Were you personally involved in both the Michael Myers case and the Ambolas case?" The Texas Chainsaw Massacre incident wasn't reported up the chain of command by Chief George because it involved something that happened twenty years ago, so the FEA doesn't even know about that case. Anyway, the people who died were all on the fringes of society, and nobody really cared about them, so it was just filed as a missing persons case.

"Didn't I already give a statement?"

The capable female agent leaned forward, staring intently into Roy's eyes. "Answer my question!"

Facing the aggressive capable female agent, Roy gave a faint smile. "What's your name?"

The capable female agent paused for a second, then started to frown. "I told you to answer my questions. Do you not understand?"

Roy crossed his arms and leaned back in his chair. "You tell me your name, and I'll answer your questions."

The capable female agent glared fiercely at Roy, but her features were kind of sweet, so even her glare looked a bit like a pout. "Are you trying to experience the FEA's hospitality?"

"Are you threatening me with torture? I happen to have a friend who's a lawyer. Maybe you guys can have a nice chat about the FEA's methods." America's a country full of lawyers, and some of them have a lot of power. A lot of politicians are actually lawyers themselves.

The capable female agent's threat would probably work really well on regular people, but Roy wasn't one of them. Roy ignored her death stare, a smile plastered on his face. He really enjoyed seeing her get worked up and not be able to do anything about it.

"Sultana Rivera." Left with no choice, the capable female agent squeezed the words out through gritted teeth.

"What did you say? I didn't quite catch that."

"Sultana Rivera! Now can you talk?"

Actually, Roy had heard Sultana the first time she said her name. He was just pretending he didn't hear to mess with her. "Sultana, that's a lovely name."

Sultana Rivera (Jessica Alba)

Sultana Rivera, from *Machete*.
