Rein's POV
Evening
"I can do this," I whispered to the cold wooden door for the tenth time in the past hour.
My fists clenched at my sides as I stared at it like it was preparing to enter a battlefield I needed to win. I wasn't shaking like before, not because I was calm, but because I had already trembled so much I had run out of energy.
"It's just sex," I told myself. "Just biology. Just… shut your eyes, and it'll be over."
My heart thudded. My palm hovered near the door, not quite knocking. I didn't know what was behind it. Would he be rough? Cold? Curious? Or would he simply do what he had to and then send me back like a used item?
I was ready, or at least, I told myself I was.
Then the door creaked open. Slowly. Quietly. As if the door itself was unsure.
"Are you planning to stand there all night?" came a low voice.
Fred.
He didn't look like himself.
