Ashrosaliera was on bathroom duty today, so she was a bit too smelly to visit the patients' resting rooms. Yet, she still managed to clean her odor off with a kind of daisy perfume she bought beforehand and visited Jimmy.
"When is your surgery?"
She asked, laying opposite to him, so that their feet were next to each other's face, not fearing him being contagious.
"Around 9PM." Jimmy answered, weakly staring up the ceiling.
"... That's within my curfew. I don't think I'll make it." Ash lowered her voice, from a faint talking sound to that of a whisper.
"Sister…" He spoke, his voice ringing in Ash's ears, "I'm scared."
"It's a valid emotion, kid." Ashrosaliera replied, her fingers fiddling on her stomach, "I'd feel the same way."
"If I die, would that just mean I wasted everyone's effort?"
"It's a matter of perspective."
"What do you think, sister?"
"I think you're… You're not." Ash stuttered.
"Thank you for treating me like a human, sister."
