Kushina saw the mischievous look on his face and, in retaliation, playfully bit his shoulder.

When Shinno woke up, Kushina was already gone.
Hearing noises from the kitchen, he stretched lazily, feeling refreshed from the wonderful night before.
"Where's Tsunade?" he asked while brushing his teeth, glancing at the wide-open door to her bedroom.
Given how deep he had put her under last night, she should've still been asleep by noon—unless something had interrupted her.
"The ANBU came for her this morning," Kushina answered, focusing intently on the breakfast she was cooking. "They said two ninjas just returned from a mission and needed her to determine their treatment plan."
Her voice sounded slightly awkward, and she kept her head down, pretending to be busy with the food.
Even thinking about last night made her blush.
Shinno quickly finished washing up and walked over to the kitchen. Standing behind Kushina, he wrapped his arms around her waist.
"I got a little gift for you," he murmured.
"What kind of gift?"
Feeling the warmth and security of his embrace, Kushina's initial embarrassment melted away.
"Think of it as a special ability," Shinno said, resting his chin lightly on her head.

She looked like the embodiment of Winter Kushina!
Shinno swallowed hard. He hadn't expected Magical Girl Transformation to turn out like this.
"So… do you have any special abilities?" he asked, trying to keep his voice steady.
"Eh? Special abilities?"
Still fascinated by her new outfit, Kushina closed her eyes and focused. After a moment, she reached into her pouch and pulled out a glowing golden star—an energy construct made of fused magic and chakra.
"Whoa! That's amazing!" Shinno's eyes lit up.
He had guessed what the ability might do, but actually seeing it was a different experience entirely.
"Shinno, you're the best!"
Overcome with excitement, Kushina threw her arms around him, kicking her legs in the air as she hugged him tightly.
Heh heh… just wait till I show this off to that grumpy fox!
If the Nine-Tails dared to give her attitude now, she wouldn't hold back!
"You know…" Shinno smirked. "Since I'm so good to you, how about you wear this outfit tonight?"

"Ahahahaha!"
Laughing, Shinno spun her around in his arms.
They played around for a while before settling down to properly explore the transformation's abilities and limitations.
According to Kushina, while Magical Girl Transformation rapidly consumed both stamina and chakra, her Uzumaki constitution made it a non-issue.
Even more importantly, she could tell that this new power was perfectly compatible with her chakra—and, more surprisingly, the Nine-Tails' chakra as well.
If she could convince the fox to cooperate…

"In that case," Shinno said, grinning, "how about we test it out in the Training Cavern soon?"
"Heh~ You better be ready to lose!" Kushina teased, tilting her head up and planting a quick kiss on his cheek.
