Chapter 112 - Chapter 112: Relax, My Shadow Clones Are Pros at This!

For now, Shinno decided to skip over [Invisible Execution Slash].

Instead, he used up his remaining two standard trait extractions.

[Congratulations, Host! You have obtained the Green Trait 'Adaptive Transformation' and the White Trait 'Crimson Frenzy.']

Adaptive Transformation (Green): Through long-term study and mastery of various transformation techniques, you have refined your transformation skills to an advanced level. You can effortlessly alter your body shape, with slight improvements in transformation technique control, chakra signature mimicry, voice imitation, habitual behavior mimicry, and body structure adaptation.

Crimson Frenzy (White): Born in the midst of bloodshed and accustomed to its presence, you possess an instinctual craving for blood. This trait enhances your understanding of biological vascular structures, weak points in living beings, combat aggression, and bloodlust. Prolonged exposure to blood increases the probability of entering a berserk state.

Shinno glanced at the Green Trait [Adaptive Transformation] and immediately dismissed it.

Not only did the name sound ridiculous, but the effect was trash too.

If it let him transform into a full-on Susanoo, then maybe he'd be interested. But all it did was slightly improve transformation techniques.

As if he needed that.

With the chakra control from [Zero-Frame Startup] combined with the aura suppression from [Silent Walker], his transformation jutsu was already good enough to fool Kage-level opponents.

Activating this trait would be pointless.

Instead, his attention locked onto the White Trait [Crimson Frenzy].

"Wouldn't this be the perfect counter to Tsunade's hemophobia? If I give this to her, wouldn't she be back at full strength?"

Shinno scratched his cheek.

One person obsessed with blood, the other terrified of it—if they canceled each other out, wouldn't it be a perfect balance?

Oh, dear sister…

After all I've done for you, I think it's only fair I ask for a little favor in return, right?

Heh heh heh…

Setting that thought aside for now, Shinno used his random blue trait upgrade chance.

[Congratulations, Host! Your Blue Trait 'King of Knowledge' has successfully upgraded into the Purple Trait 'Seeker of Origins.']

Seeker of Origins (Purple): Your mind palace has evolved into an innate ability, granting you near-infinite memory retention. You can uncover secrets, trace everything to its roots, and significantly enhance your comprehension, insight, and memorization. Learning speed for ninjutsu, secret techniques, and skills has greatly increased.

As the system notification faded, Shinno's mind felt clearer than ever.

It was hard to describe, but his thought process became faster, sharper. A sense of clarity and comfort washed over him.

The technique he had been conceptualizing—the one resembling Rebirth of One's Own Life—suddenly had a clear path forward in his mind.

Many of the training obstacles he had faced in the past now had obvious solutions.

A smirk curled at Shinno's lips.

Although upgrading [King of Knowledge] into [Seeker of Origins] didn't provide an instant boost to his combat strength, the increase in memory and learning ability would drastically reduce the time needed for self-study.

In the long run, the benefits far outweighed upgrading [Silent Walker], [Handsome], or [Euphoric Healing].

"System, activate [Invisible Execution Slash]."

After the lingering effects of the trait upgrade subsided, Shinno activated his newly acquired conceptual trait.

Memories of countless sword swings flooded his mind.

Konoha...: Crescent Moon Dance, Konoha...: Willow, Secret Sword: Moon Shadow, Vacuum Blade…

All of these kenjutsu techniques were broken down and analyzed in his mind, piece by piece.

Kumogakure's Slashing Flow, Reverse Cut…

The Land of Iron's Iaido Slash, Rending Strike, Snowstorm Slash…

With the enhancement of [Seeker of Origins], the influx of training memories quickly turned into instinct.

Shinno could feel it clearly—no matter what sword he held in his hand, he could fully unleash its unique traits and power with ease.

"Invisible Execution Slash… Let's test the activation rate first."

He took one last glance at the system interface before pushing open the underground chamber door.

"Huh? Where's Danzo?"

Kushina, who was standing in the hallway, noticed Shinno emerge. She twirled a small wooden stick in her fingers as she walked up to him, peeking into the underground chamber.

Seeing that Danzo was gone, she tilted her head in confusion and asked her boyfriend, "You let him go?"

Shinno grinned and wrapped an arm around her waist as they walked toward the first floor.

"I dumped him in the trash."

"Huh? You just let him go like that?"

"Don't worry, he's nothing but a babbling hobo with a head full of garbage. I already had a shadow clone send a Root ninja to keep an eye on him."

"Oh~ Won't your clone get found out by the Third Hokage?"

Shinno smirked. "Relax. My shadow clones are pros at this."

Kushina giggled, leaning against his shoulder. "You're such a troublemaker! Who even talks like that?"

Shinno chuckled and took the small wooden stick from her hands.

With all of Danzo's memories in his mind and his shadow clone using the Facial Copying Technique to perfectly replicate Danzo's appearance and chakra signature, he wasn't worried about getting exposed.

All he had to do next was alter the memories of Danzo's two closest subordinates—Aburame Tatsuma and Shingurui—to seal the deal.

The only real variable left was Orochimaru, the other vice-leader of Root.

But no matter what, he'd deal with it when the time came.

"Heh heh, I bought two chickens this morning. How about some spicy braised chicken for lunch?" Kushina asked, fully trusting Shinno's judgment.

"Sounds good. I'll borrow those chickens first."

"???"

"Relax, they'll still be edible afterward."

Shinno ruffled Kushina's hair before taking the two tied-up roosters into the courtyard.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

He swung the wooden stick rapidly, sending a flurry of strikes down on the roosters.

After twenty or so swings, he felt a strange, fleeting sensation—a power that was both mysterious and elusive.

Plop—

A single chicken foot detached and fell to the ground.

"Wait… was that supposed to be a head? Or a bone?"

What the hell?!

Grumbling to himself, Shinno turned to the second rooster and resumed his swings.

This time, after over a hundred strikes, he finally triggered that mysterious power again.

"GAAACK!"

A shrill, distorted cry rang out as a tiny, blood-red tongue fell from the rooster's open beak.

Hearing the strange noise, several Yamanaka clan members peeked out from the kitchen, only to quickly retract their heads.

They had learned their lesson the last time Shinno trained—best to stay out of it.

An hour later, Shinno found himself staring at Tsunade, who sat stiffly on the ground, frozen in fear at the sight of the blood-soaked courtyard.

His gaze flickered to a certain prominent feature on her chest.

No, no, not appropriate…

"You… you better clean this up…" Tsunade muttered, her face pale.

"Uh… yeah, sure."

With a quick Water Release: Water Wave, Shinno washed all traces of blood into the nearby river.

Tsunade finally regained some color in her face.

"...What the hell were you doing?"

"Uh… practicing medical ninjutsu?"

"...You expect me to believe that?!"
