Rymora blinked.
Almost like a fly had shot into her eye and her she was instinctively fluttering her eyes to get it out.
She was stunned! So much so that it had the same feeling like she had been physically punched as she fixed her eyes on Gregor only to be taken aback to see tears in his eyes as he looked at her.
"You slept with a man? With one of them? You cheated on me!" he accused her, his voice cracking with disbelief, raw and jagged like shattered glass.
And with only a bit of a stutter, Rymora responded as she hurriedly did her best to quickly clear up the misunderstanding.
"Gregor!" she gasped as she shook her head. "I-I would never!" she swore, even though tears flooded her eyes, spilling past her lashes and trailing hot down her cheeks.
Aware that although she didn't go all the way it wasn't like she didn't use her mouth—something she didn't dare to say to him—as her eyes flooded with more tears while she continued to speak.
