"Let's see if I can bring another one…" he murmured, raising his hand again.
The floating images reappeared before him, spinning in the air like living marks. But when he selected the serpent, he noticed its color was no longer black; it had turned gray, like the golem or the lizard. Not understanding, he asked Angel:
"Huh? What happened?"
Angel replied with a calm but worried voice:
"You ran out of gray energy. Summoning consumes that specific energy… and you can only keep one high-level creature active with the amount you have now. You need to evolve more if you want to maintain multiple beasts at once."
William clenched his fist, annoyed, but quickly controlled his breathing.
"Well… at least one is better than none," he replied with a twisted smile.
He turned to the bear.
"Follow me."
