Damien Morris's words had just left his mouth when Laura Pinley tugged his sleeve from under the table. Then she lifted her eyes to meet Ariel Morris's gaze, saying gently, "Your dad means that you're grown up now, Ariel. You have your own feelings and thoughts, and we won't interfere with your private life. Whatever you want to do, whichever friends you want to make, it's your right and freedom. Your parents will always support you, and home will always be your safe haven."
Ariel Morris smiled sweetly, saying, "Thank you, Mom and Dad." After a brief pause, she continued, "Mom and Dad, I've rented a room near the school. I plan to work hard in high school and get into a good college."
Laura Pinley was anxious, "Ariel, why are you suddenly renting a place to live? Are you still bothered by what Scarlett said? You know she's used to being spoiled by us, so she's a bit arrogant. Don't take it to heart."
