Chapter 51 - Chapter 51 : HOME VISIT... Kalego sensei !!

[The End of Term – Sullivan's Mansion]

A flurry of confetti and giggles echoed across the pristine halls of the grand Sullivan Estate.

"THE TERMINUS IS OVER~!" Sullivan cheered, floating above the ground like a giddy balloon. "Now, where shall I take Iruma? A moonlight cruise across the Lava Lakes? A picnic in the Flaming Gardens—"

Opera's eyes narrowed as they stepped into view.

"Lord Sullivan," they said calmly, arms folded. "You have not forgotten our arrangement, have you?"

The headmaster tilted mid-air, blinking. "Arrangement?"

Opera leaned in and whispered something inaudible into his ear.

Sullivan's eyes widened, then sparkled. "Oh, that thing. Hehe, of course! How could I forget something so important to you, Opera~?"

Opera adjusted their gloves, face still unreadable. "Good."

[Kalego's Home – Evening]

Rain pattered against the windows.

Kalego watered his cactus with precise care, every droplet measured. But as he straightened up, thunder rumbled in the distance, and a faint pressure rolled across his skin.

A storm—not just in the skies.

Something's off…

[Next Morning – Teachers' Office]

Sullivan handed Kalego a thick scroll with his usual sunny demeanor.

"Kalego-kun~ I've decided that this break, you'll be doing home visits to your students!"

"I REFUSE." Kalego's voice echoed like thunder.

"Oh~? You'd disobey the principal?" Sullivan's smile remained, but the pressure behind it crept across the room like a vice.

Kalego's eye twitched. "…Tch. Fine."

[Home Visit #1 – The Asmodeus Estate]

The gates to the Azazel residence creaked open, revealing Alice standing proud and formal.

"Welcome, Professor Kalego."

Beside him stood the ever-loyal David, giving a deep bow. "A pleasure."

"Where are your parents?" Kalego asked sharply, already pulling out his evaluation notes.

"At work," Alice replied simply.

Kalego stared at him.

Alice stared back.

"They were not told, were they?"

David gave a strained smile.

Alice cleared his throat. "I've kept them informed of my academic progress regardless."

And like clockwork, his next sentence was drenched in admiration.

"Iruma-sama has been a wonderful influence. He and I train daily, and thanks to him, my grades, combat control, and mental focus have all—"

"Stop talking about Iruma," Kalego growled, visibly annoyed.

"But—"

"You're here to report your progress, not declare your friendship vows."

Before Alice could reply, two voices rang out:

"BROTHER!!"

Viole and Lily stormed into the room with matching pouts.

"You spend more time with Iruma than with us!" Lily huffed.

"We exist too, you know!" Viole added.

Alice's expression softened. "I understand your feelings. I truly do… but Iruma-sama is my top priority."

The sisters gasped, hearts metaphorically shattering, and ran out in synchronized sobs.

Alice hesitated, then sighed and followed them.

Left in the silence, David smoothed his jacket and bowed deeply.

"My apologies for my young master's behavior. He has… changed."

Kalego looked out the window where Alice was chasing after his sisters.

"He's matured," he said plainly. "A bit too Iruma-obsessed, but there's discipline now. His power will likely spike when he stops seeing the world as just him and Iruma."

David's ears perked.

"Then… Professor Kalego," he said, suddenly leaning in with a glint of intensity. "What exactly would it take for Alice to grow stronger?"

"His awareness. His balance. And perhaps a healthy ego check."

David nodded as if processing a blueprint.

"In that case, I shall report everything from his birth logs to his daily training. Would you prefer them organized by event or psychological profile?"

Kalego blinked.

"…Are you seriously offering me classified data on your own master?"

"For his growth—anything."

"...Disturbing. But efficient."

David smirked. "He's been training lately with Iruma and Miss Amaryllis. Secret sessions, elemental drills, even sword defense. The lady herself has been overseeing it."

That caught Kalego's attention.

His eyes narrowed.

"So… he's improving under her too. How much High will you go Iruma?"

A brief silence passed.

Then Kalego gave a dry, rare almost-compliment.

"Well… that's a productive use of his obsessive tendencies."

[Home Visit #2 – The Valac Residence]

Kalego stood stiffly in front of the vibrant, overly colorful home of the Valac family.

"Let's get this over with."

He knocked once.

The door burst open.

"PROFESSOR KAAALEGO~!" Clara's entire family, including her overly enthusiastic mother and swarm of siblings, tackled him into a suffocating group hug.

Kalego's soul visibly attempted to flee his body.

"I am leaving."

He turned.

Only to be stopped by two baby demons clinging to his cloak: Keebow and Sin Sin, both pouting with watery eyes.

"No leeeaavvveeee…"

Suddenly, upbeat music began playing from nowhere.

"Why is there music—"

"SONG TIME!!" shouted the Valacs.

The entire family erupted into a synchronized song and dance number, surrounding Kalego and somehow roping him into the routine. Despite his furious expressions and resistance, he was magically forced into step.

Even the twins were bouncing on his shoulders as backup dancers.

--

[Later, at the Valac Living Room]

Kalego collapsed into the couch, twitching.

Urara, Clara's composed and refined older brother, calmly pushed a cup of coffee into Kalego's hands.

"My apologies, Professor Kalego. Please forgive my family's uncouth behavior."

Kalego stared at him in disbelief.

"Are you a kidnapped noble being forced to serve these lunatics?"

Urara blinked. "No. I'm their eldest son."

"…I see no resemblance."

Kalego straightened his coat and began speaking about Clara's grades and class behavior, but—

"CLARAAAA~!"

"SONG TIME AGAIN!!"

Another explosion of music.

Another unwilling encore.

Hours later, disheveled and spiritually drained, Kalego dragged himself out of the Valac home.

--

[Home Visits – Montage]

At Gaap Goemon's House: A traditional dojo where Kalego is challenged to multiple duels.

At Jazz Andro's House: A mansion with elaborate illusion traps just to enter.

At Kerori's House: He is led into an icy shrine room and forced to sign merchandise.Where he sees a Young women and a small girl with blue hair.

At Picero & Allocer's House: A long, philosophical debate about the value of homework.

Kalego slowly became a hollow shell of himself.

--

[Home Visit – Sullivan's Mansion]

Iruma greeted him politely. "Welcome, Professor Kalego."

Kalego grabbed him instantly, using him as a human shield.

"You're coming with me. I'm not walking in there alone."

From the shadows, Opera appeared.

"Cowardice already? How unlike you, Kalego-kun~"

Suddenly, Sullivan burst in holding an old photo album.

"Look, Iruma-kun! This is Kalego back when he was a student~!"

"I told you not to show that!"

But it was too late. The photo revealed a younger Kalego in a pristine Babyls uniform, glaring at the camera with the same cold eyes—but clearly being surrounded by chaos in the background.

Sullivan chuckled. "Kalego was always serious, so naturally everyone wanted to pick a fight with him. But it turns out—"

Opera smiled fondly. "They were actually trying to challenge me. Kalego just happened to be the one glaring the most."

"You set me up, you smug cat."

"Good memories, huh?"

--

[The Meeting]

Opera sat in, sipping tea, as Kalego reviewed Iruma's progress.

"Iruma's grades have shown rapid improvement. He's participated in key academy events. However, his tendency to insert himself into dangerous situations—"

Sullivan snatched the logbook from his hands and showed it to Iruma.

"Waaah, look! Professor Kalego keeps detailed logs of you!"

"Eh?! He even wrote in the margins… 'Irritatingly noble.'"

Iruma beamed. "Professor Kalego really does care."

Kalego turned red.

"Silence. I'm simply performing my duty."

He paused.

"...That said, Iruma has the capacity to overcome any hardship. However, his flaw lies in equating responsibility with self-sacrifice. That tendency could destroy him if left unchecked."

Opera raised a brow. "A surprisingly thoughtful analysis."

Kalego stood. "Now, if you'll excuse me—"

"You're staying the night," Opera interrupted, voice smooth.

Sullivan chimed in. "Iruma-kun, summon him!"

Iruma hesitated. "Eh? But—okay!"

A summoning circle glowed beneath Kalego.

"Wait—DON'T YOU DARE—"

Fwoop.

He vanished with a poof.

--

[Next Day – Babyls Classroom]

Kalego stood before the misfit class, expression unreadable.

"Thank you for your hospitality. In return…"

He snapped his fingers.

"More homework. A full research project on inter-species combat evolution. Due after break."

The entire class wailed.

"NOOOO—WHY?!"

Kalego smirked.

"Because I enjoy tormenting you."

--

[– Home Visit: Sabro's Castle]

The grand gates opened to reveal a massive throne room. Waiting for Kalego was Sabro in formal armor, standing tall.

"Professor Kalego! Welcome."

Kalego blinked in surprise at the formality.

"Hm. I see you've learned some manners."

From behind the throne stepped Sabro's uncle—a towering demon with crackling lightning surrounding him.

"I am Baal. One of the Thirteen Crowns. And Sabro's Uncle."

Kalego narrowed his eyes.

"So… this is where the power comes from."

Sabro grinned. "I will defeat all that stand before me! Including you, Iruma!"

Kalego gave a rare, approving nod.

"...As a demon, your fighting spirit is strong. Good."

He sipped the provided lightning-infused tea—and promptly exploded into static.
