Trisya looked at the wall clock. It was 11 pm. Ardi still hadn't appeared from behind the door. Yet, he promised to take her to the obstetrician tonight.
She looked at their wedding photo on the wall. It had been six weeks since she officially became Mrs. Rifki Ardiansyah.
The door opened. Ardi walked in.
"Hey, still awake?" Ardi asked.
Trisya frowned.
"Where have you been? You promised to take me to the doctor!"
"Sorry... There was a sudden arrest," Ardi sat beside Trisya, who immediately stood up.
"Where are you going?"
" SLEEPING!" Trisya walked into the bedroom.
Trisya sat on the edge of the bed. She reached for her phone.
A message from Robby came in.
"I heard you're going to England after getting married? When?"
"Next week. Why?"
"Can we meet before you leave?"
"I can't promise."
"There's something you should know. Ardi's ex-girlfriend is here."
"So what?"
"Do you think Ardi will stay with you if that female doctor comes back into his life? I saw them meet at a cafe at 8 pm tonight."
"I don't care if he still loves that woman!" Trisya replied.
The bedroom door opened. Ardi walked in. Trisya quickly put down her phone.
"Take a shower."
She pushed Ardi, who was lying down on the bed.
"Just a minute, Honey. I'm so tired," Ardi pulled the pillow.
Trisya looked at Ardi.
"Have you eaten, hun?" She massaged Ardi's shoulders.
"Yes..."
"I'm flying to England next week... Is it okay if I left you alone?"
"It's okay. You usually do everything yourself anyway."
"You're unbelievable! You have no feelings!" Trisya patted Ardi's shoulder.
"What did I do wrong?"
"It's only been six weeks since we got married, and you're letting your pregnant wife go to Europe?"
"You're studying, aren't you? That plan was made before we got married."
"You'll be chasing other women. I might not be home for two or three years."
"Oh my god."
"Who knows, someone might seduce you!"
"Having a wife, it's impossible to let another woman ruin our marriage?"
"You don't love me. You're just responsible because you got me pregnant!"
"If I married you, it's impossible not to love you."
Ardi got up from the bed.
"I'll take a shower first."
Trisya frowned, she pondered for a long time before finally reaching for her phone to read Robby's next message.
"You can say you don't care, but are you sure you won't panic if your husband is taken by another woman? Remember karma, Trisya! You were so cruel to steal your mother's husband."
"Just go die!" Trisya replied.
"Do you think no one likes your husband? He is quite cold and stiff. But many women want him. Do you think a married man won't be tempted when someone seduces him while his wife is away? Ardi is not an angel without desire. Proof is he fell for you and committed a sin?"
The bedroom door opened. Ardi walked in, Trisya immediately threw her phone onto the bed.
"What's wrong?" Ardi asked.
"Nothing, just surprised."
"Surprised by what?"
"Still forgetting that I'm not alone in the room anymore. So I'm startled when someone opens the door."
"Oh..."
Trisya looked at Ardi. The man, only wrapped in a towel, looked very athletic. No wonder his body looked perfect in a t-shirt or shirt.
Ardi looked at Trisya.
"What's wrong with you?"
"Nothing..." Trisya looked away.
After a while, Trisya looked at Ardi again. The man had finished dressing. He walked towards the bed.
"What's wrong? Is there something you want to say?" Ardi asked. "Why have you been looking like that?"
"Nothing," Trisya turned her back to Ardi.
She picked up a book and immediately started reading.
Suddenly, she felt Ardi's hand around her waist.
"It's late, continue reading tomorrow," Ardi whispered while stroking Trisya's stomach.
"It's not finished yet," Trisya replied.
Ardi took the book and put it next to the bedside lamp.
"Honey, give the book to me."
Ardi turned off the light, replacing it with a bedside lamp.
"Oh my god,Honey. I didn't even see what page I was on."
Ardi pulled Trisya into his arms, they looked at each other so closely.
"What do you want?" Trisya asked.
"Can't I look at my wife's face before bed? Weren't you the one who started it? Staring at me?"
Trisya didn't answer.
"Oh my... Why is my heart suddenly beating so fast?" Trisya thought.
"Did you meet your ex at a cafe at 8 tonight?" Trisya asked cautiously.
"Who told you?"
"It doesn't matter where I know it from."
Ardi stroked Trisya's hair.
"Yes."
"You're unbelievable. Why are you so honest about it?" Trisya grumbled.
"There was a death case at her clinic. After the report, she treated me to coffee."
Trisya frowned.
"Don't pout like that," Ardi said.
"Why?"
"You look very alluring," Ardi kissed Trisya's lips.
"You're unbelievable," Trisya put her arms around Ardi's neck, returning the kiss. "But you also look very tempting. When you were only wearing a towel. It made me want you."
Ardi laughed.
"Why are you laughing?"
"Nothing."
Trisya stroked Ardi's chest.
"This broad chest only has one more week to warm my body. Are you going to waste tonight's opportunity?" Trisya teased.
"Oh yeah. It's not too late for a little exercise, right?" Ardi pressed down on Trisya while kissing her lips again.
"Honey, you're tempted so quickly?" Trisya stroked Ardi's back.
"It's halal, isn't it? It's okay to be quickly tempted by you," Ardi kissed Trisya's neck.
"Honey..." Trisya put her arms around Ardi's neck.
"Yes."
"What if your ex asks you back?"
"Let her."
"Is she beautiful?" Trisya lifted her back so Ardi could take off her dress.
"You're more beautiful," Ardi dropped Trisya's dress to the floor.
"Really? She's a doctor, right?"
"She's an ex," Ardi kissed Trisya's neck.
"Why did you break up?" Trisya looked at Ardi, who was taking off his shirt.
"We weren't compatible, obviously."
"Do you have many exes?" Trisya tilted her head, enjoying Ardi's touch and kisses all over her body.
"That's not important," Ardi kissed Trisya's lips.
"Then what's important?"
"You already know, and you're still asking."
"Uh... Catching up?" Trisya moaned softly as the man entered her.
"Do I have to answer?" Ardi pushed deeper.
"Anyway, when I'm far away, watch out if you flirt around, okay?"
"Yes."
And Trisya didn't speak anymore. Letting the night's struggle end to its peak and regulating her breathing back to normal.
Trisya looked at Ardi.
"You're off tomorrow, right?"
"Yes."
"Accompany me shopping for my trip, okay?"
"Yes, Ma'am."
"Promise. When I'm far from you, don't look at other women."
"Yes... My love."
