Sir Zircon noticed the dark aura coming from Lady Odile's room. He could tell right away that it was His Majesty's.
As his beta, Zircon had the natural ability to sense him around, because he needed to always be on guard to serve his Alpha.
Zircon wanted to go up and check, but the dark aura disappeared not long after, but then it returned again, and this time he sensed His Majesty inside the throne room.
Zircon rushed to the throne room and saw the Masked Alpha sitting on the throne. He was wearing a mask that made it impossible for Zircon to see his expression, but Zircon had been serving His Majesty long enough to know that he was anxious right now.
He kneeled in front of the Masked Alpha and asked, "Your Majesty, I sensed your dark aura from Her Grace Lady Odile's room just now. Did something happen?"
The Masked Alpha didn't answer immediately. He spared a quick glance at Zircon before asking, "What do you think of my mate?"
