"Congratulations. You won," Miret said. There was a strange tone in his voice that only Severin understood.
They were now in the small shed.
Severin had cleaned himself up a little with warm wet cloth, but even then he still smelled like blood. They sat facing the guardian speak.
"I didn't expect it... that you would win so easily. There was, after all, only one A-ranked among you," Miret said.
Severin raised his brows. "Let me guess, you are going to pull our files because you're now taking us seriously?"
Miret at least had the grace to appear sheepish.
Severin sighed. He was tired and he was in pain. The power had taken its toll on his body more than he expected, and even though he didn't use the twenty percent power to do anything over the top.
