It was the weekend, and Sophie was already bouncing around the house, too excited to sit still. Her uncle was finally taking them to the amusement park, and she couldn't wait.
Suddenly, there was a sharp knock at Elena's door. Stella walked in looking tense, almost out of breath.
"What's wrong?" Elena asked, noticing the anxiety on her face.
"It's Daniel," Stella replied quickly.
Elena frowned. "What about Daniel? What happened?"
"He's coming here."
"Oh," Elena said casually, "and that's why you're panicking?"
"No—well, yes—but it's because of Sophie."
Elena looked even more confused. "What does Sophie have to do with Daniel?"
Instead of answering, Stella fired another question. "Isn't Victor supposed to take her out today? To the amusement park?"
"Yes," Elena said slowly, "why?"
"When are they leaving?" Stella pressed.
"I don't know… whenever Victor shows up, I guess. Why are you acting like this?"
