Cherreads

Chapter 97 - ENGLISH OR SPANISH

The next round of musical chairs was about to begin.

The Red Beans and the White Tigers stood ready, eyes locked on the remaining seats like warriors before battle.

Sam, ever the mischievous referee, smirked as he queued up the next song. The contestants braced themselves, wondering what he'd play next.

Then, the speakers blared:

"English or Spanish—whoever moves first is gay."

Silence. The weight of the declaration settled in.

No boy in the crowd dared to move.

The girls, unfazed by the rule, casually took their seats, immune to the stakes. That left only the boys—locked in a battle of reflexes versus reputation.

Liabilities, Hops, Preguy, and Toshi stood frozen.

Toshi, without budging an inch, immediately pointed at Oppa. "Why are you already sitting?! You moved right! You accepted it! You're gay!"

Oppa blinked. "…Bro, I was never playing."

Preguy said there is only 3 seats left, should we move and claim our seats or save our reputation?

Liabilities then used a high IQ move and he simply tilted a slightly without moving and landed right on the seat, because of his looong legs.

Only 2 seats pre guy, toshi and hops were sweating, unsure which one to save their image or their seats

The tension was unbearable. Three guys. Two seats. One test of manhood and reflexes.

Preguy wiped his forehead. "Bro... if I move, I lose."

Toshi. "But if you don't move, you also lose."

Hops gulped. "What if we all just... wait for someone else to panic?"

A single bead of sweat rolled down their foreheads as they stood frozen, staring at the chairs like they held the meaning of life itself.

The crowd was in complete silence. This wasn't just musical chairs anymore. This was a battlefield of pride and dignity.

Then- BAM.

Hops reaching his limits cacked first, launching himself onto a chair like his life depended on it.

Gasps echoed through the crowd.

Toshi and Preguy turned to him, He moved! He moved first...! We can move now? We can move!

Sam smirked. "Welp. Hops moved first." you guys can move too.

Hops, now realizing the consequences of his actions, turned pale. "Wait. WAIT!

Sam pointed at him dramatically. "CONGRATULATIONS. YOU'RE GAY."

The crowd erupted.

Hops fell to his knees before reaching the seat in agony. "Nooooooo!"

Preguy and Toshi, now free from the curse, casually took their seats like kings who had just won a war without lifting a finger.

The round ended.

Hops was eliminated. And his reputation? That was the real casualty.

Few more rounds were played out, leaving only four competitors: Jangla, Roslin, Toshi, and Villy.

One White Tiger versus three Red Beans. The crowd erupted in accusations of biased refereeing, claiming Sam was rigging the game for his team—but non could give a solid proof, the game continued.

The four finalists locked eyes, knowing that whoever survived this round would secure their spot in the top three and score crucial points for their team.

Sam, unable to resist causing more chaos, smirked and played his next track.

A recording of Jangla singing in the bathroom.

The room went dead silent. Everyone turned to Jangla, expecting immediate elimination. Sam grinned, thinking his plan was foolproof. Embarrassment would take her out before the game even started.

The music stopped. The players rushed for the chairs.

Sam, still looking away, confident Jangla had fled out of shame, didn't even check the results. Then the announcer called out the winners:

"Toshi… Roslin… and…"

Sam smirked. Obviously, the last name would be Villy.

"…Jangla!" the announcer shouted dramatically.

Sam's head snapped around. "Huh?!"

Jangla sat in her chair, staring at him dead in the eyes.

Sam was dumbfounded. "How… how are you not embarrassed after what I just played?!"

Jangla, unflinching, replied, "Losing my team's hope is worse than being embarrassed over my song."

The crowd gasped. Sam felt a chill down his spine.

The game continued, leading to the final results:

1st - Jangla (White Tigers) - 20 points

2nd - Toshi (Red Beans) - 10 points

3rd - Roslin (Red Beans) - 5 points

And just like that, Jangla cemented her legacy—not just as a competitor, but as a legend who refused to let shame stand in the way of victory.
