Waking up, I head into the kitchen and make breakfast. While I am cooking, I hear the sound of chairs moving at the table. Turning around, I see that she is back, sitting at the table, but with a far-off look on her face. As I finish preparing breakfast, I bring over an extra plate and place it in front of her. Sitting down and enjoying the food about 15 minutes later, that far-off look disappears and she looks around before realizing that there is a plate in front of her. "thank you," she said. "You're welcome," I said while chewing my food.
"It's pleasing to see mortals are still following the laws of hospitality," she said with a small smile. " Most people do, but not everyone." i said, After finishing my meal and loading my plate into the dishwasher, after getting dressed in my gear and restocking the supplies in my backpack, I put slayers pluto and oviraptor in my pocket and prepare to activate the rune in my chest.
Closing my eyes, I tried to sense that rune; after a minute, I finally found it, and then I started to send my BA to it. As the energy started to fill, it started to radiate an ice-cold aura; after a minute of filling it, a sudden burst of cold, and I passed out. Waking up to someone shaking me lightly, the first thing I see is a cave ceiling that has a slight blue glow.
Looking to my left, I see the person shaking me is a young girl with hair so golden that it almost matches Hellas' healthy side and two eyes as purple as if they were polished amethyst. Then, from her back, were a pair of jet-black wings, each with prominent runes on it. While sitting up, I get a better look; I see she is wearing a dark green dress. "Good morning, sleepyhead! I'm glad you finally managed to get here," she said as she began to hover off the ground.
Standing up, I take off my bag and stretch. "So, Hugin, please give me the rundown on everything you and Munin have been up to," I said while putting my bag on and looking at the back of the cave where the Runick Fountain is located. "Munin is outside getting food for Freki and Geri and Sleipnir flew off towards the center of the forest," she said
"That's good, so the first stop in this journey would be to take down Frodi," I said, walking over to the fountain.
After I put my hands into the water and pulled them out, an ice-blue rune floated above my left hand, and when I looked at it, a small circle with a sword symbol popped out. While I was thinking of selecting it, a straight sword appeared in my right hand, and the rune lost some of its glow. Dunking it back in the water, it glows just as bright as before. "Alright, let's get going," i said and started to walk out of the cave and into the forest with Hugin flying right above my right shoulder, guiding me towards where the forest turns into a flower meadow and in the center of it is a table with multiple chairs around it. Near a large tree, a tall woman with a pair of giant fairy wings is sitting. It took me a moment to recognize her: Mardel, Generaider Boss of Light.
As Hugin and i got closer, we could see that Mardel was watching Munin and the two wolves play in the meadow. As we approached, she turned to face us. "Aw, hello there you must be the one cent to challenge the others come take a seat and eat a meal while we wait for Loptr to show up and give you the runes you need to go and start your journey" she said in a slightly high, sweet voice
About 20 minutes later, sleipnir came flying in with a pale man with blonde hair on his back. "I apologize for the wait, everyone; I have finally arrived," he said with a hint of dramatic flair before joining us at the table. "so Jason to get started, you have to start
with fighting Utgarda, the Generaider Boss of Delusion. i would have had you fight Frodi, Generaider Boss of Swords but he decided to hide inside Utgarda and block anyone from going deeper in so you will have to deal with utgarda firs and to do that, you will have to ride Sleipnir far into the mountains and beat the giant using this." as he said this, he held out a floating rune. I respond by holding mine up, which absorbs his. After it did, the tree appeared again, and right next to the sword symbol appeared one of two giant fists. i select it, and on both my hands appear two gauntlets that are the same as the ones in Runick Destruction.
As the gathering came to an end, both the wolves shrank into miniature size and jumped into my backpack, sticking their heads out of the top, and getting on Sleipnir, we started to fly north towards the mountains. According to Loptr, reaching Utgarda would take about three days, including time for rest. Munin flys ahead of Hugin and i to scout out the area while Hugin tells me about how odin Thor, and loki found away to the dual monsters' world Apparently, he wanted to absorb the dual energy from the world to grow stronger in hopes of preventing Ragnarok and Thor went with him to grow strong enough to survive as well and loki was the one who opened the path for the three of them.
About a half hour later, Munin came flying back as fast as a bullet. "prepare for battle! We've got enemies incoming." after he said that, a group of Hunter Dragons came flying in to start the fight. I raised my right hand and shot out a couple of lightning bolts, hitting a few and causing them to burst into blue dust that flew into my chest, strengthening it. After this, they got in close and started to try to hit us with their bladed chins and sharp fangs, dodging a few of them, and Munin created a barrier, stopping the rest.
Activating the rune for the gauntlets, they appeared on my hands. As I threw a right hook, a yellow energy version of my fist smashed into one of the Hunter Dragons, destroying it and turning it into blue dust that was sucked into the gauntlets before the dragons could react to counterattack. Huginn released a blinding flash, which disoriented the dragons and left them unable to respond. I continued to unleash attacks, destroying the remaining dragons in just five minutes.
After the battle we continued to travel unimpeded for the rest of the morning into the late afternoon, where we ran into Gaia Plate, the Earth Giant. without wasting time, i gave Gleipnir to Huginn to restrain the monster while i destroyed it with the gauntlets while increasing the strength of the attacks with the orange gem, destroying the monster in about two minutes, destroying it completely. Thereafter, we made our way into a nearby cave with a fountain in it. Munin and i set up the sleeping area, Huginn was making dinner for the night. "So, Munin, what was your experience like while working for Odin?" I asked, as i unrolled my sleeping mat and sleeping bag.
"It was not that bad. usually we would do our job of gathering information for him in the morning and thereafter, we mostly would spend the day giving him our opinion about things he would ask us, like how to handle the punishments for loki after one of his pranks or whose prayer to answer back in the day when people would pray to him," he said with a mix of longing and sadness. After this, Huginn called us over for dinner. After eating, we all lay down for the night.
The following day, we continued our journey northward. i talked to Huginn about making my own spells without having to absorb already existing spells and trap cards. "that is actually a breeze for me and the others because when we entered this other world under Her Majesty's orders, we became spirits more attuned with this world's magical energy and can make spells using just our imagination but from what we can tell for humans in the human world, you either have to use some type of item made from the souls and magic they generate or have the energy from a powerful spirit. you should be able to make your own using your imagination because of your deal with her majesty." she said with the tone of a professor teaching a new student.
"Let's start by having you cast that lightning using your gloves," she said, demonstrating the action herself. i pointed at a nearby boulder ahead of us, and blasted a small piece of it off. "now we will let you do it without your gloves." after she said this, i toke them off and put them in my breast pocket "She said, 'Now you point your finger again at the boulder and think of using the same spell, visualizing what you want to happen in your mind,' while she demonstrated by destroying a similar-sized boulder completely."
following her instructions. I pointed my finger like I would with my gloves on, and in my mind, I thought of how I would cast the spell normally. As I did this, a memory from my childhood resurfaced. The memory was from a camping trip with the Boy Scouts, during which a lightning bolt struck a rock five feet in front of me. After this memory appeared, i cast a spell. a lightning bolt, a shade of crimson red, was fired, destroying not just the boulder but also the ground around it, leaving a crater about three feet deep.
"Wow, that was pretty strong, almost like one from when thor was first born. when he did it for the first time, he destroyed a couple of houses." she said in a happy nostalgia
"Yeah, that's excellent, but that took almost double the energy of the shield crush spell," I said, trying to regain some of it. after a few minutes, im back to full energy, she said. "Now try that spell again but with your gloves on." Doing that, I see the rune on the glove glow before changing from green to red, and the red lightning shoots out again, just as strong as before but only costing the energy of casting the original spell twice.
After a few more hours of flying, I spotted a small valley with a small lake where we set up a small table for lunch as we ate. I said, "So tomorrow we will be facing our first boss. Do either of you have any information on them?" After a minute of intense thought, Hugin said, "First, we know that this boss sits directly on top of the chamber that leads to the other bosses, and the only way to reach it is by destroying its core, which will both defeat the boss and break the seal."
"That's good to know, but do you have any information on how they will fight us? I don't think they will just let us beat them." I said while writing down everything so far then Munin responds, "we know that it's not possible to get to the core from the ground so we will have to fly in. Next, we know that its two arms act similarly to the human weapon you humans call artillery guns, and it uses stone golems as ammunition, so we will have to dodge and destroy them as we get close."
Thinking this over, I will have to think of spells to increase our flight speed, and if there was a way to get close without alerting the boss to our reduction, we would have to dodge its attacks. After lunch, we continue our journey to the next fountain to set up camp, brainstorm some ideas for fighting the boss, and learn some healing magic from Munin, who is not as good as him. I'm beginning to grasp the concept.
Q: would you like me to make custom main deck monsters for the Runick deck or add a second engine
