Then she slammed the door shut behind her.Leaving Alex and Selene alone.
Selene turned toward him, fidgeting, her eyes nervously avoiding his."Alex… will you come with me?"
Alex nodded with a calm expression."Yes. I'll go with you. Don't worry, Selene."
Selene's eyes widened, then she rolled them with an exasperated sigh."Do you even know what lovers are?"
Alex tilted his head, confused."Friends like us?"
Selene glared at him."No! Lovers are way closer than that!"
Alex scratched the back of his head, a mischievous grin tugging at his lips."I know what lovers are, Selene. But… are you sure we are the ones?"
Selene narrowed her eyes, crossing her arms."Do you like me?"
Alex nodded."Do you want to spend your life with me?"
Again, he nodded, without hesitation.
Selene smiled warmly."Then that's it."
She turned on her heel and skipped toward the door with a spring in her step.
Alex followed, a small smile forming on his lips.
