Two years later,
"Baby, your baby sister will soon be a student at your school. Are you happy?" Yin asked. Zhong was so happy; he wanted his cute little sister to attend the same school as him, and he nodded eagerly. The seven-year-old boy looked at his aunt – or rather, his mom. "Rannan will be at my school! Yay!" He hugged Yin, and she smiled.
"How's your new teacher? Is she treating you right?" Yin asked.
Zhong nodded. "She's very nice to me," he said with a bright smile.
"Mmm, that's my boy," she murmured, ruffling his hair and smiling.
A baby's cry echoed from the room. "Ran is crying!" Zhong exclaimed, running upstairs. Yin followed him, only to find Jinye sitting amidst a chaotic mess. Baby milk was spilled, and toys were scattered across the floor. Yin struck an 'are you kidding me?' pose. Jinye immediately threw his hands up, like a criminal caught in the act. "I didn't do anything! It was Ran. She pulled them, and when I stopped her, she started crying," he tried to explain.
Yin just sighed and picked up her daughter. "I can't leave father and daughter alone for a minute, can I?" she complained.
"Baby, believe me, I didn't do it!" he pleaded to Yin, who was already halfway through the door. She gave him a pointed 'clear it up' look, and he immediately understood.
I was simply observing them – a happy family where everything seemed to be going perfectly. Jinye had a maid clean the room, then he changed into his casual clothes and went to meet his forever-young wife. She looked so captivating in her purple baggy shirt, long enough to cover her thighs. Her hair was pulled back in a ponytail, her face free of makeup, showcasing her natural beauty. Her inviting lips and charming eyes... God, her beauty was irresistible.
I was sitting in the parlor, watching Jinye. He kept swallowing hard, his Adam's apple bobbing as he observed her from his room doorway. She was making dinner. He felt an intense urge to go to her, grab her, and make her chant his name like a mantra. But he had to take it easy. He was still trying to regain her trust; he couldn't just barge in without her permission. It had been two years and six months since they had been intimate. He never pushed for it, wanting her to know he was serious. He didn't just want sex; he wanted her love. He wanted to rebuild their trust.
Zhong, on the other hand, seemed to notice something. He tapped his dad's leg, motioning for him to bend closer. "Do you want Mommy to give you attention? 😇" he innocently asked, blinking his cute, innocent eyes.
Jinye smiled wistfully. "I wish, but I guess not anytime soon. I still have a lot to fix, son. Look, let me tell you, don't be like your papa when you're in love. Papa doesn't know anything in that aspect..." he said, patting the little boy's head. He gave a slight smile.
"Auntie Yin loves you a lot, Papa. She cried a lot when she was in the village. She always said, 'Baby, your dad is an idiot!'" Zhong narrated.
Jinye chuckled softly. "She sure does. But do you believe I love her more than she loves me?" he asked. Zhong just kept staring at him with those innocent eyes. "I fell first, and I'm still falling. She's the reason I smile every day. She's the reason I realized even someone like me can find love," he said, smiling to himself, patting the boy's head again before offering a warm smile. Then he went down to Yin.
"Husband, come sit here. I made this for you," she said, offering him a steaming bowl of Mapo Tofu. He loved it so much. He looked at her, and she gave him a warm smile; she looked truly free. He gulped, his gaze scanning her form, noticing again that she was wearing nothing underneath. He gulped again, looking nervous. "Th-thank you," he managed to stammer.
She smiled and moved closer to him. "Are you okay?" she asked, deliberately placing a hand on his shoulder and bending to his level. Her cleavage was clearly revealed. I could imagine him drooling.
"Husband," she called again. Ah, that name – he hadn't heard it in a long time, not since the day she left. He couldn't hold it anymore. He pulled her into a kiss. She didn't resist, or perhaps she couldn't resist; she responded, closing her eyes. Suddenly, she pushed him away. He also regained his senses.
"I'm sorry... please don't hate me... I..." he was cut short.
"We can't do this in the presence of the kids," she said.
He almost choked on his saliva. Did he hear right? Did she also want it? He looked at her, then she whispered in his ear, "After dinner, I'll put Zhong and Ran to sleep. Don't sleep without me," biting her lip slightly. But he noticed it. He couldn't miss a single detail. His beloved wife was sending him a clear message.
