Inside the silent chamber, everyone stood frozen.
Aiden, Ron, Clara—even Han—were all struck speechless by the absurd scene unfolding in front of them. Even Ronan, the ever-expressionless one, couldn't stop the twitch tugging at the corner of his mouth.
The cause of their bewilderment?
Kael.
The young man was kneeling in front of Han, head bowed, pleading—no, worshipping—as if Han were a deity.
"Fire God… I beg of you," Kael had said.
Aiden was the first to snap out of the shock. He turned toward Han's cell, confusion all over his face.
"Wait a minute. I'm missing something here."
He jabbed a thumb at Han. "When did you become a god?"
Ronan and Clara both turned toward Han, their questioning eyes stabbing into him.
Han's expression twitched. It felt like he'd walked into some strange prank show. If he lied now, it might look like he was in on it. But the truth?
He didn't even know what Kael was talking about.
