We step into the mall, and Jiang's eyes go full sparkle mode.
"Humans! So many humans!" he whispers like we just entered an alien zoo.
I elbow him hard. "Idiot! Don't say stuff like that out loud!"
He gasps. "Apologize! But there are so many humans! And—look! Big big TV!"
"That's a billboard, genius," I hiss. "Never mind. Focus. This is a mall. You can get everything here—clothes, gadgets, accessories, food... basically a human trap of shiny things."
He spins in a slow circle like a confused Roomba. "Amazing... this is like... Earth's treasure planet!"
I groan. "Okay, treasure planet, keep it low-key or I'm stuffing you in a shopping cart and pretending you're malfunctioning AI."
He salutes. "Understood. Casual Earth mode: activated."
"Let's head to the first floor—fancy brand clothes, here we come!" I say, dragging him toward the escalator.
