Chapter 41 - Bank Account

Tony truly lives up to being a super-rich tycoon. Even though the bank's transfer system was shut down, with just a phone call, he instantly transferred one hundred million dollars into Blaine's bank account.

Watching the funds in his system skyrocket, Blaine couldn't have felt more thrilled.

Before leaving, Blaine even showed off a bit with his guaranteed-hit ability, letting Tony see just how he rose to the top.

Using just a $10,000 [New Element Blueprint], he earned a hundred million!

How many times profit is that?

Let me count…

Ten, hundred, thousand, ten thousand, hundred thousand, million…

Okay, maybe not that exaggerated, but it's still a ten-thousandfold profit! What's that saying again? Blaine had forgotten, but a ten-thousandfold return was undeniably insane.

Moreover, from what Blaine knew, this [New Element Blueprint] was actually something Tony's father, Howard Stark, left behind as an inheritance.

Holding an arrow in his left hand, a bow in his right, and feeling the night breeze, Blaine really wanted to howl at the sky.

He was looking forward to the moment when Tony received his father's relic from S.H.I.E.L.D., compared it with what he just got, and realized it was exactly the same. That expression would be priceless.

Maybe even funnier than Natasha's.

...

After Blaine left—

Tony seemed to have completely forgotten that Natasha was still lying on the sofa, and went straight to "creating" the new energy source.

He couldn't wait to switch to the new element.

After all, this new element was practically his second life—it was vital to his future as Iron Man. How could he not be anxious?

So, that entire night, Tony buried himself in the great task of developing the new element. The more he studied, the more he admired the creator of such an invention, thinking he must be a total genius. He became obsessed.

He also completely forgot about Natasha—like she never existed.

Tony: 'What are women? I hate women! Can any woman compare to new element?!'

Only science could make a playboy forget a beautiful woman.

As a result, Natasha ended up lying on the couch all night.

If it weren't for the brutal training she endured as a child in the Red Room, along with having undergone human experimentation, she might have caught a cold.

Fortunately, early the next morning, Tony finally noticed Natasha looking completely worn out.

However, Natasha didn't blame Tony. She asked a few simple questions, then left Stark Tower.

Now that her identity as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent had been exposed, it was clear she couldn't stay by Tony's side any longer.

Besides, Natasha felt this incident was serious enough to report to Nick Fury.

S.H.I.E.L.D. secret base.

In the office, the one-eyed Nick Fury stared in surprise at the completely exhausted Natasha in front of him:

"Natasha, what happened? Weren't you supposed to be keeping an eye on Tony?"

"My cover was blown."

Natasha, now back in her tight agent combat suit, replied.

"What? Why? Something must've happened, right?" Nick Fury frowned slightly.

He didn't believe for a second that a playboy like Tony could have uncovered one of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s top agents. And the truth was, before the incident last night, Tony had no clue that Natasha was an agent.

It was obvious—something had gone down.

"Yes." Natasha nodded.

Then she recounted the entire incident from the night before, including how she felt during it.

That's how agents worked—even if something embarrassing happened, they had to report every detail to prevent future complications.

"A Bounty Hunter? Judging by what was said, he once accepted a mission to kill Tony…"

"Exceptional in both combat skills and physical capabilities. He might not have even been using full strength and still gave Black Widow a hard fight…"

"And he's got weapons he didn't even use—he can fly using the arrows he shoots…"

"What kind of bizarre ability is this?"

"When did someone like this appear on the global stage?"

Nick Fury fell into deep thought.

"Natasha, does Tony have any clues about this mysterious guy? How did he get involved with him in the first place?"

From what was said, it sounded like the Bounty Hunter once tried to kill Tony.

So why were they suddenly working together now?

Nick Fury couldn't imagine that Blaine was just completely unpredictable—that was giving him a headache.

"Tony probably doesn't know who he is either."

Natasha shook her head and handed Fury a note.

"But I did manage to get the Bounty Hunter's bank account number from Tony."

She had secretly written it down that morning while Tony wasn't paying attention.

After all, Tony left that little note with the account number right on his desk. You'd have to be blind not to see it.
