I toss the book, 'The Silent Patient', as Flora storms into my room without my permission. Before I could say anything, though, she started shouting, "You're late for school, Nora!" I stare at her blankly before answering, " Yeah, so? I am completely aware of that. I am just taking my time, and also, you can't just come into-" She side-eyes me hard before slamming the door shut and yelling dramatically from the other side," Well then, you should tell Mum to stop calling me to check up on you!"
Oh no. If Mum was calling my sister about me, she must have- ok, maybe I am wrong, but I should check just in case. So I pull out my phone from my pocket, and as I do so, I see all thirty-one missed calls from Mum.
