Chapter 22 - A milestone achieved

Landon's eyes widened as he gazed at the five young men in front of him. They were talented, to be sure, but they had no experience working together as a band. One Direction, in this world, was a group of unknowns, and Landon was tasked with molding them into a cohesive unit.

"Alright, guys," Landon said, trying to sound calm and confident. "I know we've got a lot of work ahead of us, but I'm excited to get started. We're going to create something special here."

The five boys nodded, looking a bit nervous but eager to please. Landon smiled, recognizing the fire in their eyes.

"First things first, we need to get to know each other. Let's do some vocal warm-ups, and then we'll work on some harmonies. I want to see how you guys sound together."

The boys nodded, and Landon led them through a series of vocal exercises. As they sang, he listened carefully, taking note of their individual strengths and weaknesses.

"Okay, now let's try something together," Landon said, pulling out a sheet of music. "This is a song I've been working on, and I think it will be a great fit for our first project."

The boys took their places, and Landon counted them in. At first, the sound was rough, with each boy singing in his own style. But as they continued to sing, Landon heard something special - a spark of chemistry that hinted at something bigger.

"Great job, guys!" Landon exclaimed, his eyes shining with excitement. "We've got something here. Let's keep working and see where it takes us."

As the days turned into weeks, Landon worked tirelessly with the boys, honing their sound and building their chemistry. It wasn't always easy - there were moments of frustration and doubt - but Landon believed in them, and he knew that with time and practice, they could become something truly special.

And as they sang together, Landon's vision began to take shape. He could hear the harmonies blending together, the melodies soaring, and the rhythms pulsing with energy. It was going to be a wild ride, but Landon was ready to take the leap.

As if the album performing wasn't good enough, he was also busy with a schedule of interviews, media appearances, photo shoots, preparing for the AMAs for performance as well as being nominated in 8 diffrent catagories and trying to officially get backing from a studio to start Echowaves first major show. X-Factor(Coughs) to scout potential future talent for Echowaves.

London, who had just finished recording songs for his next album was shocked as Tatiana came rushing in the studio. "Landon! did you see it?" She shouted.

Landon who was busy with One Direction paused the song the band had just finished and answered." See what?" He responded

"Tatiana, who couldnt hold in her excitement finally spoke "your song.....Dusk till Dawn...it's just become the first song in the history of Spotify to reach A billion streams !" She said

Tatiana's words hung in the air, and for a moment, no one spoke. Then, the room erupted into cheers and applause. One Direction's faces lit up with excitement, and Landon's eyes widened in shock.

"As of today, September 17, 2015," Tatiana continued, barely containing her enthusiasm, "Dusk till Dawn has become the first song in Spotify's history to reach 1 billion streams! And it only took 139 days since its release."

Landon's mind reeled as he processed the news. He thought back to the original timeline, where Drake's "One Dance" had been the first song to achieve this milestone and it took 190+ days. But here, in this alternate reality, his own song had taken the top spot.

He couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. His song, "Dusk till Dawn," had resonated with listeners on a massive scale, and it was still climbing the charts. The success was surreal, and Landon felt grateful to have such a talented team behind him.

As the celebration continued, Landon took a moment to reflect on the journey that had brought him to this point. From writing the song to working with One Direction, every step had been a labor of love. And now, the numbers were staggering.

The room was electric, with everyone congratulating each other on their success. Landon smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards his team and the fans who had supported him. This was just the beginning, and he couldn't wait to see what the future held.

Landon's eyes sparkled with excitement as he turned to the group. "Let's celebrate this milestone! Who's up for a meal at the mall?" The suggestion was met with cheers and applause, and soon, the entire group was making their way to the mall.

As they sat down at a bustling restaurant, Landon couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. The food was ordered, and the conversation flowed easily, with everyone basking in the glow of their success.

Just as they were about to dig into their meals, Landon noticed a familiar face walking towards them. It was Noah, his former band mate from his previous group. Landon's eyes narrowed slightly as Noah approached, a mixture of emotions swirling inside him.

Noah's expression was far from friendly, and Landon could sense the tension building. "Well, well, well," Noah said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Look what we have here. The golden boy, Landon, basking in the glory of his success."

Landon's eyes locked onto Noah's, and he could see the anger and resentment simmering beneath the surface. "Noah, what's going on?" Landon asked, trying to stay calm.

"You know exactly what's going on," Noah spat, his voice rising. "You're sitting here, enjoying your success, while our band struggled to get off the ground. If you had just shared your talent with us, things might have been different. But no, you had to hoard it all for yourself."

The group's eyes turned to Landon, sensing the tension between him and Noah. "You think that we would've kicked you out if you showed this much talent?" Noah continued, his words laced with bitterness. "But, i guess our friendship was nothing to you since you decided to hide your talents and ride our cocktails. And now, you're reaping the rewards."

Landon's face remained calm, but inside, he was seething. He knew that Noah's words were fueled by anger and frustration, but it didn't really matter . "Noah, you must retarded or something," Landon said. "I've worked hard to get where I am today. And I'm not going to apologize for my success. And, you kicked me out becauseyou thought you could be something bigger without me. Actually i should thank you, because of you i managed to find my spark. So thanks, now I suggest you get outta my face."

The air was thick with tension as Noah's anger seemed to simmer just below the surface. Landon wondered what other accusations Noah would throw his way, and how this encounter would play out.
