Two days had passed since Liz temporarily moved in with Landon, and she had been amazed by the man's work ethic and dedication to his craft. She had seen him spend hours creating instrumentals, writing lyrics, and "recording" demo vocals for the songs he was working on for the EP. His studio was a testament to his creativity and passion for music, with guitars, keyboards, and microphones scattered around the room.
Liz had watched him work tirelessly, often losing track of time as he became fully immersed in the music. She had even caught glimpses of him humming melodies or tapping out beats on his thighs as he walked around the house. It was clear that music was not just something he did, but a part of who he was.
As she watched him work, Liz felt a sense of admiration for Landon's talent and work ethic. She loved the music he made and now had a first class seat to see him in action and Seeing him in action was a different story altogether. She was impressed by his ability to multitask and juggle multiple projects at once, all while still managing to make time for her. Despite his busy schedule, Landon had still made time for her, showing her around the city and alk that. Liz felt grateful for the opportunity to get to know him better, and she couldn't help but feel drawn to his creative energy. As she watched him work, she felt inspired to pursue her own passions and interests, and she was excited to see where this new chapter in her life would take her.
"Wow, you really are something else." She said at Landon from a distances as she looked at him recording another song.
Landon looked up from the recording console, a hint of a smile on his face. "What do you mean?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with curiosity. Liz walked closer to him, her eyes fixed on the studio equipment. "I mean, you're just so talented and dedicated. I've never seen anyone work so hard on their craft."
Landon chuckled, "It's just what I love to do. When you're passionate about something, it doesn't feel like work."
Liz nodded, "I can see that. You're completely in your element when you're making music."
Landon smiled, "Yeah, I am. Music is my escape, my sanctuary. When I'm creating, nothing else matters."
Liz watched him for a moment, feeling a sense of admiration for his dedication to his art. "You're really inspiring, Landon," she said softly.
Landon's smile grew wider, and he walked over to her. "Thanks, Liz. That means a lot coming from you." He stood close to her, his eyes locked on hers, and for a moment, they just looked at each other, the music fading into the background.
On the fourth day, Landon finally decided to take Liz out to eat at a classic five star restaurant around his Penthouse. Landon stood in the garage, dressed in a classic suit that accentuated his broad shoulders and chiseled features. He leaned against his Ferrari, checking his watch for what felt like the hundredth time. He had been waiting for Liz for about 10 minutes, and he was starting to get irritated. He was about to go get her when he heard the elevator doors open, and Liz stepped out. Landon's eyes widened as he took in Liz's stunning appearance. She was wearing a beautiful, red, tight, long dress that hugged her curves perfectly. The dress was backless, showcasing her smooth skin, and Landon's eyes couldn't help but linger on the exposed area. He felt a sudden surge of attraction and admiration for Liz's sense of style.
"Wow," Landon breathed, his eyes locked on Liz's figure. "You look... incredible."
Liz smiled, feeling a sense of confidence and glamour. "Thanks, Landon. You don't look so bad yourself."
Landon chuckled, feeling a sense of relief that she was finally ready. "Shall we?" he asked, offering his arm. Liz nodded, taking his arm, and they walked out of the garage, heading towards the five-star restaurant. The evening promised to be unforgettable, and Liz couldn't wait to see what Landon had in store for her. As Landon and Liz stepped out of the garage, they were immediately swarmed by paparazzi. The flashbulbs popped, and the cameras clicked away as the reporters shouted out questions.
The paparazzi had been staking out Landon's place for four days, ever since they caught wind of the mall drama. They had been waiting for a shot of Landon and Liz together, but so far, they had only seen Tatiana coming and going. The sight of Landon and Liz together was exactly what they had been waiting for, and they were determined to get the perfect shot.
One guy finally saw them together and he was excited. "Oh my God!! I guess it was true after all. Liz and Landon are dating!" He said as he takes the pictures of them together. As Landon and Liz drove away, the paparazzi followed, their cars weaving in and out of traffic to keep up with the couple. Landon noticed them in the rearview mirror and smiled wryly. "I guess we're going to have a bit of an escort tonight," he said, his eyes locked on the road ahead.
Liz laughed, "I guess we're big news, huh?" She glanced back at the paparazzi cars following them.
Landon chuckled, "Unfortunately, yes. It's part of the package, I'm afraid."
As they arrived at the restaurant, the paparazzi swarmed around them again, cameras clicking away. Landon got out of the car and helped Liz out, shielding her from the chaos.
"Let's get inside," he said, smiling, and they walked into the restaurant, leaving the paparazzi behind.
Inside, the restaurant was elegant and sophisticated, with dim lighting and soft music playing in the background. Landon gave his name to the maître d', and they were led to their table by the window. As they sat down, Liz couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness and she wasn't sure what to expect.
Landon smiled at her, sensing her unease. "Don't worry, I'll order for us. Just relax and enjoy the evening." Liz smiled back, feeling a sense of relief. She leaned back in her chair, taking in the ambiance of the restaurant, and let out a soft sigh. This was definitely going to be a night to remember.
As they savored the flavors of the fancy Italian meal, Landon's phone suddenly buzzed on the table. He glanced at the screen and smiled apologetically at Liz before answering the call.
"Hey, Emma," he said, getting up from the table to take the call.
Liz watched him walk away, enjoying the view of the restaurant while he talked on the phone.
A few moments later, Landon returned to the table, a hint of amusement on his face. "Emma just called to tell me that we're trending on social media," he said, chuckling.
Liz's eyes widened in surprise. "Trending? What do you mean?"
Liz asked, her curiosity piqued.
Landon sat back down, picking up his glass of wine. "Apparently, the paparazzi got some great shots of us tonight, and our pictures are everywhere on Instagram and Twitter. We're a hot topic, it seems."
Liz laughed, shaking her head. "I guess we're making headlines, huh?"
Landon grinned, clinking his glass against hers. "It seems so. But let's not let it ruin our evening. We're here to enjoy ourselves, not worry about social media. Besides, it'snot lije we'rereally dating or anything."
Liz's smile faltered slightly as she heard Landon's words. She felt a pang of disappointment, and her mood shifted ever so slightly. She had been enjoying the evening, feeling like they had a special connection, but Landon's casual remark about not really dating made her feel like she was just a temporary distraction for him.
She forced a laugh, trying to brush off the feeling. "Yeah, of course not. I mean, we're just...hanging out, right?" she said, her voice a little softer than before.
Landon didn't seem to notice the change in her tone, or maybe he just didn't react to it. He took a sip of his wine, smiling at her. "Exactly. Just friends hanging out."
Liz nodded, feeling a slight sense of heartbreak. She couldn't help but wonder if she had misread the whole situation, if she had been foolish to think that Landon might actually be interested in her. She pushed the thoughts aside, trying to focus on the present moment, but the seed of doubt had been planted. The rest of the evening passed in a blur for Liz. She tried to maintain a smile and engage in conversation, but her mind was elsewhere. She couldn't shake off the feeling that Landon didn't see her in a romantic way, that she was just a friend to him.
As they finished their meal and prepared to leave, Landon noticed that Liz seemed a bit quieter than usual. "Hey, everything okay?" he asked, his brow furrowed with concern.
Liz forced a smile, not wanting to ruin the evening. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little tired, maybe."
Landon nodded understandingly. "Let's get you home, then."
Liz nodded, feeling a mix of emotions. She was grateful for Landon's care, but at the same time, she couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness. As they left the restaurant, Liz couldn't help but wonder what the future held for them. Would she be able to keep her feelings hidden, or would she risk losing their friendship by confessing her emotions? Only time would tell.
