The wings of a dozen drones extended gun barrels, firing beams of lasers toward the figure in white at the center.
The white figure, moving like a phantom, dodged the barrage of lasers with incredible agility.
It was like a scene straight out of a sci-fi blockbuster.
Metal ability users had two paths: one was to directly control metal, and the other was to transform metal into weapons.
Each had its pros and cons, and Tabitha had clearly chosen the latter.
The advantage of this choice was that with enough firepower, it was quite common to challenge opponents of higher levels.
However, once the firepower was depleted, the user would enter a weakened state, becoming even less powerful than those of the same level.
The drones continued to chase and fire at the white figure.
"Get on!" Tabitha straddled her mech bike. Bertram hesitated for a moment but quickly climbed on behind her, pressing closely against her.
It was only then that Bertram realized just how fit Tabitha was.
Her long, muscular legs were visible, and her back, under the combat suit, was equally muscular and toned.
Her hips were full and peach-shaped, exuding a sense of power.
Bertram's chest was pressed tightly against Tabitha's back and hips. With a roar from the mech bike's exhaust, they sped away.
Although Tabitha could hold her own against the white figure, she didn't want to take unnecessary risks with Bertram on board.
If she could defeat the opponent before running out of firepower, that would be ideal. But if not, both she and Bertram would be in danger.
"Trying to escape?" The white figure sneered, destroying several drones with his clawed hands as he chased after Tabitha and Bertram.
He moved like a streak of light, weaving through the buildings and streets, matching the speed of Tabitha's mech bike.
"If we were outside the city, this guy wouldn't even catch my shadow!" Tabitha gritted her teeth, frustrated.
The mech bike continued to race forward as Tabitha pressed another button. From the rear, tail cannons fired a series of missiles.
The white figure landed with a thud. A roar filled the air, and dust rose up.
Through the cloud of dust, the white figure charged forward relentlessly.
"You take the front and control the steering!" Tabitha suddenly shouted to Bertram.
She leaped from the vehicle, performing a stylish backflip in mid-air, landing behind Bertram.
One hand rested on his shoulder while the other reached for her weapon at her waist.
A black metal device on Tabitha's right hand transformed into a fully covered mechanical arm.
She clenched her fist slightly, and powerful energy gathered in her arm. A beam of bright red light, as thick as a barrel, shot out toward the charging white figure.
With precise control and anticipation, Tabitha's red beam struck the white figure directly.
The powerful recoil pushed Tabitha forward, causing her to press against Bertram. He felt two firm yet soft objects push him forward, nearly sending him flying.
Both Tabitha and Bertram were momentarily stunned.
Then, Tabitha felt a surge of joy. Her high-energy cannon had hit the target.
Given its power, even a C++ level opponent should be severely injured.
However, just as this thought crossed her mind, the white figure emerged from the rubble created by the high-energy blast, moving twice as fast as before.
How is this possible? Tabitha's pupils contracted sharply.
At that moment, the white figure's unusual eyes were revealed, bright and red, like molten lava.
"An interdimensional human, from the Flameforge Clan?!" Tabitha exclaimed in shock.
It was clear that the opponent was an interdimensional human disguised within the city.
Using a heat cannon against the Flameforge Clan was the dumbest move possible. Their bodies were fire-aligned, capable of absorbing heat and converting it into their own energy.
The white figure, now empowered by the heat cannon, doubled in speed and quickly caught up with Bertram and Tabitha's mech bike.
With a swift motion, he slashed at the rear wheel, sending the entire wheel flying off. The mech bike, along with Bertram and Tabitha, crashed onto a nearby street.
As they tumbled, Tabitha and Bertram, despite their injuries, scrambled to their feet. If they had reacted any slower, they would have been dead by now.
"Hmph! It's over!" The white figure's eyes glowed red, his body radiating intense heat as he slowly approached Tabitha and Bertram.
A mechanic without his mech and an F+ level fighter, what could they possibly do against him now?
The white figure exuded overwhelming power, but suddenly, a black flash streaked past his neck. Facing this lethal threat, he retreated hastily, narrowly avoiding the strike.
The black flash pierced through the air and landed nearby, revealing a figure with a hint of regret in his eyes.
The white figure now had a thin cut on his neck, bleeding slightly, but the wound wasn't deep.
The black figure who had arrived was none other than Tevin, the assassin from the Doomsday Squad.
"A C+ level assassin?" The white figure frowned slightly but didn't seem too concerned.
"How about with me?" A cold voice rang out as Whitney approached. Ice-blue frost spread rapidly along the ground toward the white figure.
"Ice abilities, C++ level?" The white figure's expression darkened. His fire abilities were directly countered by ice, and with a C+ level assassin assisting, the situation was far from ideal.
Seeing Whitney and Tevin arrive, Bertram's eyes filled with renewed hope.
Good thing he had the foresight.
If one strong ally like Tabitha wasn't enough, then call in more reinforcements.
The moment he sensed Tabitha's death, he realized the opponent was no ordinary foe. To be safe, he had already notified Whitney in advance.
The fact that the enemy chose to ambush Tabitha indicated their strength wasn't significantly higher than hers.
A C++ level warrior like Whitney should be enough.
But to his surprise, Whitney had also brought Tevin along.
Although Tabitha had just been defeated, it didn't mean she was out of the fight.
Three against one, this was in the bag! Bertram felt a wave of satisfaction.
"Damn it!" The figure with lava-like eyes in white clothing showed signs of retreat.
But it wasn't going to be that easy.
Tabitha switched her weapon to physical bullets.
