"I refuse!" After hearing Jinbei refusal for the third time, Admiral Akainu finally lost his patience!
He, the great Admiral Akainu, had come personally to invite a mere Warlord of the Sea, and yet Jinbei had the audacity to reject him repeatedly. It seemed Jinbei had truly grown tired of living!
Without wasting any more words, Akainu instantly coated his right fist in magma and launched a fierce punch straight at Jinbei chest. Jinbei eyes narrowed as he swiftly raised both hands to block Akainu strike. The two immediately clashed, their battle intensifying.
At this moment, King Neptune, visibly angered, prepared to join the fight alongside his three children to assist Jinbei against Akainu!
"Your Majesty, this matter has nothing to do with Fish-Man Island. Stay out of it!" Jinbei quickly said, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth.
"I also advise you not to act foolishly!" Akainu sneered.
"Attacking me now means declaring war on the Marines. Don't think this deep-sea barrier can save you! My teleportation talisman can bring an entire army straight to your Ryuugu Palace at any moment!"
Upon hearing Akainu mention the teleportation talisman, Neptune was stunned. So that strange purple light earlier was caused by the talisman!
"What? You've gotten your hands on the teleportation talisman from Whitebeard pirates?" Jinbei was equally shocked and immediately questioned.
Akainu snorted coldly, effectively confirming Jinbei suspicion.
Without any assistance, Jinbei, despite his formidable strength, was no match for Akainu.
Moments later, Akainu powerful punch sent Jinbei crashing hard onto the floor of the Ryugu Palace. The impact caused the floor to crack instantly, and the entire palace trembled slightly from the sheer force of Akainui attack.
Without hesitation, Akainu pulled out chains and bound Jinbei, who was now unable to resist. Akainu casually tore off his damaged coat, which had been ruined during the fight, and tossed it aside. Although Jinbei couldn't defeat Akainu, being in the water gave the Fish-Man a significant boost in strength, which had still managed to give Akainu a bit of trouble.
"Today, your Fish-Man Island should truly celebrate!" Akainu sneered at King Neptune. "For your decision not to intervene!"
Though filled with humiliation, King Neptune remained silent, well aware of the Marines' power and the World Government's ruthlessness from past experiences.
Satisfied, Akainu nodded, then activated the teleportation talisman. In an instant, he and the tightly bound Jinbe vanished from the Ryugu Palace.
"Father, what should we do?" Shark asked, frowning.
"Inform the Whitebeard Pirates. Tell them in detail about Jinbei capture and Ace impending execution," King Neptune said solemnly.
...
Impel Down, the Great Underwater Prison.
The sixth level, the Infinite Hell.
Ace, his hands shackled with unbreakable Seastone chains, hung in the air, lost in thought. Suddenly, a beam of light shone through the doorway. Ace struggled to lift his head and was surprised to see Jinbei, his face covered in blood, being escorted in by Magellan.
Before long, Jinbei was locked up next to Ace.
"Ace, I can't believe you're really here!" Jinbei spat out a mouthful of blood and said with a furrowed brow.
"Jinbei, how did you end up here too?" Ace asked curiously.
"Well, I knew you were lonely here all by yourself, so I came to keep you company!" Jinbei joked with a hearty laugh.
"But you're one of the Seven Warlords!" Ace exclaimed.
"Did you make some kind of mistake?" Ace chuckled, amused by his old friend's humor.
"Enough joking around!" Jinbei smile faded, replaced by a look of sorrow. "The Navy is planning to publicly execute you!"
"Public execution?" Ace murmured to himself. Although Ace had long anticipated his own death and had mentally prepared himself for it, he hadn't expected the Navy to choose a public execution.
Wasn't this clearly a trap set for his father, Whitebeard? And knowing his father personality, even if he knew it was a trap, he would still risk everything to save him! The Navy and the World Government were truly insane!
"Well, I guess you ended up here because of me, huh?" Ace sighed, feeling somewhat guilty.
"Don't worry about it, don't worry about it!" Jinbei replied with a laugh, his tone filled with determination. "The Navy wanted the Seven Warlords to join forces against the Whitebeard Pirates. How could I possibly do something like that?"
"Let's not talk about that for now. Today, Admiral Akainu used the teleportation talisman to teleport directly from Marineford to the Fish-Man Island at the bottom of the sea, and then used the same talisman to send me here! It's absolutely incredible!" Jinbei said with amazement.
"A teleportation talisman?" Ace asked.
"Yes, yes, a teleportation talisman!" Jinbei nodded.
"It was invented by a genius from your crew—Pryce! He's the one who also invented the Senzu Beans!" Jinbei eyes lit up with excitement as he explained.
"Pryce, I've heard of him. If we ever get out of here, I'd love to meet him!" Ace said with a sense of longing.
"Speaking of Pryce, I think we actually have an advantage in this war against the Navy!" Jinbe said seriously.
"We have an endless supply of Senzu Beans! And the teleportation talismans can be used to catch them off guard! Plus, I heard that Pryce has healed a lot of the injuries on Whitebeard body!" Jinbe continued.
"I hope so. If they really can't save me, I just hope my friends and family won't be too burdened by my death. It's not worth it for just one person," Ace sighed, his voice filled with regret.
"Stop talking nonsense! We're going to get out of here! We're going to survive!" Jinbei declared firmly.
"Trust in Pops, trust in every member of the Whitebeard Pirates!"
"Trust in the miraculous inventions of the genius, Pryce!" Jinbei shouted loudly.
Hearing this, Ace couldn't help but let out a bitter laugh.
However, Jinbei words did manage to instill a glimmer of hope in the utterly disheartened Ace. Perhaps a miracle really could happen?
