Chapter 73 - Chapter 73: Klee Draws Cards, [Holy Light Explosion Art]!

Inside the shop.

After briefing the Fatui members on their tasks, Tartaglia happily sorted through the cards.

Low-tier cards weren't even worth his attention, let alone taking them back to distribute to others.

But four-star cards required some consideration—he couldn't just hoard them all; the organization needed its share.

Once he finished sorting, Tartaglia inserted both the equipment device and the golden card of the Scarlet Calamity Toad into the card dismantler.

"Eat up, little toad!"

Watching wave after wave of card experience flood into the golden card, Tartaglia felt incredibly pleased.

Being able to see the card's experience bar was like seeing the progress of his efforts!

It was like training—if you couldn't see results after a day or two, it was hard to stay motivated.

But what if there was a progress bar?

That would definitely fuel the grind!

Compared to Tartaglia's cheerful mood, Zhongli seemed unusually quiet.

His eyes were unfocused, lost in thought.

Lu Heng guessed:

Is he thinking about where to hide his dragon form?

The thought was amusing, but Lu Heng, having weathered many storms, managed to keep a straight face.

"Boss Lu, your expression is quite hurtful," Zhongli sighed.

"Is it?"

Lu Heng shook his head. "Must be a misunderstanding. You must've seen wrong."

Really?

Your smirk is barely contained!

Zhongli didn't press further.

The more he dwelled on it, the more powerless he felt.

This otherworld was not kind to dragons!

At least this was Liyue.

"Here we go, here we go!"

The three turned to the door, momentarily stunned.

Venti, beaming, rushed in.

"Wait, where'd you find a kid?" Tartaglia asked, puzzled.

"This is…"

Zhongli studied Klee's elf-like ears for a moment before realization dawned.

"Hehe!"

Venti set Klee down.

Klee rubbed her head, feeling a bit dizzy.

"Mister, where is this?" she asked nervously, looking around.

She was starting to realize she might no longer be in Mondstadt.

"This is a super fun place!"

Venti said, "Come, Klee, let me introduce you."

Klee, still dazed, greeted everyone.

"Hello, Brother Lu~"

"Hello, Brother Zhongli~"

"Hello, Brother Tartaglia~"

"So adorable~"

The little girl's soft, sweet voice and cute appearance melted Lu Heng's heart.

"Here, I've got some snacks for you." Lu Heng rummaged around.

Unhealthy snacks are better left for college students.

He handed Klee a few packs of snacks and juice, his face lighting up with a fatherly smile.

"Listen up, Klee's luck is amazing—she's my secret weapon!" Venti said excitedly.

"Huh?!"

"Why didn't you say so earlier?!" Tartaglia slapped his thigh.

He stared at Klee, who stood there clutching her snacks, looking both confused and innocent.

"Little one, I need your help with something!" Tartaglia said seriously.

The little girl adapted quickly.

Sensing no ill will, she relaxed and asked, "What can Klee help with~?"

"It's simple—just draw some cards. A few clicks is all it takes!"

Tartaglia wanted to demonstrate, but since he'd already drawn his cards, he pointed to someone else at the machine.

"Just like them. Eight times is enough."

"Oh, okay."

Klee nodded, though not entirely understanding.

The kind-hearted girl, despite her confusion, agreed eagerly, "Okay, Klee will help~"

"This kid is so cute!"

Tartaglia laughed.

"I just hope such an adorable child doesn't grow up to inherit her mother's… creative ideas," Zhongli mused, rubbing his temples.

"Brother Zhongli knows Klee's mom?!" Klee's eyes widened.

"I do," Zhongli admitted. "Though it was quite some time ago."

"Oh, I see!"

Realizing Zhongli was her mother's acquaintance, Klee felt even more at ease.

Noticing the darkening sky outside, she turned to Venti. "Brother Venti, it's getting late. If we don't go back, Acting Grand Master Jean will put Klee in timeout. Can you take Klee home?"

"Don't worry, I already talked to Jean."

Venti wasn't lying. "For the next few days, you can stay with me or these brothers. Jean won't scold you."

"Make yourself at home," Lu Heng added warmly.

"No need to go back?"

Klee thought for a moment.

Though the dark was a bit scary, these big brothers seemed really nice.

Soon, she forgot about going home.

"It's almost dark?"

Tartaglia said, "I've already made arrangements. Yuehai Pavilion, let's go?"

"Hold on!"

Venti proudly slapped down two million Mora. "You think I brought Klee here for nothing?"

"Is this your life savings?" Lu Heng teased.

"You actually had two million left? Impressive!" Tartaglia exclaimed.

Only two million?

If not for wanting to see Klee's draws, Zhongli wouldn't have even bothered.

"Klee, come here. This is the fun part!"

Klee was too short, so Venti lifted her onto a high stool.

He'd already loaded the Mora and explained, "See here? Single draw, ten-draw, hundred-draw… We've got two hundred draws. Just click however you like."

"Can Klee click anything?"

Klee didn't quite understand, but seeing the machine swallow Venti's two million Mora made her hesitate.

"Click away!"

Having brought her here, Venti had only two words in mind: trust!

"Okay~"

Klee thought for a moment and tapped the ten-draw.

Purple light flashed.

Lu Heng raised a hand to appraise the result.

[Highly Compressed Particles]

A material used for making bombs.

Bombs made from this material were safe, pollution-free, and capable of leveling all of Liyue Harbor in one blast!

Lu Heng glanced at Venti and Klee.

Klee's luck was indeed incredible, but… the items she drew seemed tailor-made for her.

The next ninety draws were uneventful, yielding several bomb-related or explosive weapon cards.

Zhongli fell silent.

Lu Heng was speechless in amazement.

Venti looked utterly lost.

Tartaglia and the Scarlet Calamity Toad were clueless.

One hundred draws remained.

After a brief hesitation, Klee chose the hundred-draw.

Purple light shimmered once more.

A purple card depicting swirling winds appeared.

"Wind?"

Venti raised an eyebrow.

Lu Heng completed the appraisal.

[4-Star Reviving Breeze]

[Tier]: 4-Star · Purple

[Type]: [Skill Card]

[Description]: A gentle breeze to soothe wounds.

It seemed like a skill from some game, leveled only to the fourth tier. Was there a fifth tier?

Lu Heng glanced at Venti. "Feel like you got something worthwhile?"

Little Klee also looked up at him, nervous.

Venti equipped the card onto his novice device.

Sensing the card's power, he smiled.

As the God of Wind and Hope, healing with wind was something he excelled at.

This card didn't grant him a new skill but was a welcome addition.

With it… Dvalin's suffering would ease considerably.

Venti grinned and praised, "Klee, you're amazing! You've got heavenly luck!"

"Yay!"

Klee cheered, delighted.

Everyone smiled.

Lu Heng leaned against the counter and asked, "Klee, want to give it a try?"

Klee lowered her head.

The little girl, with only fifty Mora to her name, sighed. "Klee doesn't have Mora~"

"Alright, forget I mentioned it."

Lu Heng chuckled and handed her an equipment device. "Here, a gift from me."

"Brother Lu is so nice!"

Klee beamed but shook her head and waved her small hands. "But Klee can't take it."

The little girl had been well-taught by Jean.

She wouldn't accept gifts so easily, especially from someone she'd just met.

"If you don't take it, how can I ask for your help later?" Lu Heng sighed, feigning sadness.

Huh?

"Klee will help!"

The ever-helpful little girl looked utterly serious.

"Then take it, sweetheart."

"Thank you, Brother Lu!"

Klee cheered loudly.

"Here, Klee."

Zhongli, having paid, handed her a red phone. "Since I know your mother, consider this a gift."

Klee wanted to refuse, but the phone was already in her hands. She quickly thanked him.

"Hey, got some spare change too. Here!"

Tartaglia fished out a 10,000-Mora coin and tossed it to Lu Heng. "One draw—not much, but it's for Klee."

Venti panicked.

Everyone's giving gifts?

He rummaged through his pockets but found nothing.

In the end, he stuffed his trusty wooden lyre into Klee's backpack. "This is special. May the Anemo Archon bless you!"

Klee felt like she'd spent the last few minutes just thanking everyone.

These big brothers were truly kind!

But she felt a bit guilty accepting so many gifts.

"Alright, let's test Klee's luck," Lu Heng said with a smile.

Under their guidance, Klee bound the equipment device and loaded the Mora.

Though it was just one draw, Klee happily tapped the single-draw button.

Suddenly—

Golden light erupted!

"Huh?!"

"Wait…"

"I don't get it!"

Lu Heng's scalp tingled.

A golden card lay quietly on the counter.

He flipped it over.

The card depicted a black-and-white scene of an explosion—one of terrifying magnitude.

"Told you there was something to this," Lu Heng said.

Zhongli nodded deeply.

Venti sighed. "Let's see what it does first."

Lu Heng appraised it and froze.

[Holy Light Explosion Art]

[Tier]: 5-Star · Gold

[Type]: [Skill Card]

[Traits]: [Purification], [Healing]

[Description]: "Buddy, you're badly hurt and contaminated. Let me heal you!"

"Who the hell heals by pointing a cannon at someone?! Stay back—aaaaah!"

The description was abstract, but Venti and Zhongli's expressions shifted instantly as they stared at the card.

Healing was common… but purification was rare!

In that moment—

Venti thought of the Abyssal poison afflicting Dvalin, which even divine power struggled to cleanse.

Zhongli recalled the erosion gnawing at his being.

"Why aren't the big brothers saying anything?" Klee whispered.

"Klee… you've struck gold!" Venti said gravely.

"Did Klee do something bad?"

The little girl panicked.

"No, no! I mean, you've hit the jackpot!"

"Klee, congratulations," Zhongli said, taking a deep breath.

Tartaglia gasped. "A gold from a single draw… insane!"

"Ribbit!"

Absolutely unreal!

Even the Scarlet Calamity Toad, having witnessed its master's draws, voiced its astonishment.
