When Peter opens his eyes, he immediately starts his morning routine and walks to his Workshop. Today will be the day he finishes the Verdant Ark System and starts the farm. He will connect the system with the bigger version of the AquaSynth Reactor, so the system will always have enough water.
As he enters his workshop, he immediately starts to work. With all the components for the system already done with the help of the fabricator working overnight, he can skip a few steps in the tinkering process.
It cut down the tinkering to 5 hours. Because of this, it only takes him six hours to make all the components he needs to complete the Verdant Ark System and another hour to put them all together.
Peter looks at the Hydroponic Farm with a smile on his face and presses the start button. He watches as a drone takes care of the planting stage without him needing to worry. The drone will also take care of all the plants on the growing stage and harvest them when they are ready to harvest.
With that done, Peter releases a tired sigh and stretches a little bit.
While working on the Verdant Ark System, he has an idea that will boost his productivity. He needs to create a [Nanotechnology] specialization. The reason? He wants to create self-replicating nanites that will eat the radiation around the planet.
He will make sure they die when their job is done and even create a kill-switch in any nanites that he creates or that are created by themselves.
Without any hesitation, he decided to put all of his charges into [Nanotechnology] and feel a rush of knowledge entering his brain. All of his specializations are enchanted because of this one, and he can now make something that is very versatile and powerful.
Without hesitation, Peter starts to work once again. This time, he will make a machine that produces nanites that will eat all the radiation. His current radiation-cleansing tech is faster if Peter focuses on it. However, nanites will work better in the long run.
As they continue to eat the radiation, the bigger their number will be, the faster their progress will become. When they are done, they will die immediately.
The nanite maker is not a massive machine. It is 75 centimeters tall, 1 meter long, and 50 centimeters wide. This machine will create the nanite and let it create the programming it needs to do.
He presses the 'Produce' button and waits for it to be done. While waiting, he decides to call the Forgewing Drone back so it can take the nanites outside. After a few minutes, the door to his base opens up, and he can see his drone return.
It takes a few minutes to return because the drone needs to be cleaned. It has anti-radiation protection on its body, but he just wants to make sure.
He shakes his head, looks at the Nanites Maker, and sees that it was done. Sitting on top of the machine is a small tube filled with a thousand nanites that will go around the country to eat all the radiation.
It will take a few months to clean the radiation from this planet and make it inhabitable once again.
He put the tube inside the Forgewing and programmed the drone to launch the tube into the world. He watches through his computer as the drone flies away from the bunker and flies a couple of kilometers away before launching the tube inside its chest cavity.
He watches as it creates a small explosion, and he sees a notification appear on his computer. The nanites are activated and already feeding on the radiation in the air, and the ones falling to the ground are also eating all the radiation on the ground.
With that done, he decided to think of something to defend his base. He is not a warmonger, but he knows that this kind of world is very dangerous, and desperate people are dangerous as they do not care about other people's lives.
That is another thing he needs to take care of. He wonders if there are still survivors out there and thinks of a way to reach them. Rob said there will be 'refugees', but he doesn't know if they are refugees from this world or another.
He knows that he will meet someone from the company behind the Waifu Catalog at the end of the month. However, he doesn't know if they will be giving him the refugees he needs to take care of or if he needs to rescue the survivors in this world.
That means he needs to create a defensive system in his base or create some guns or armor to protect himself. He can create a nanomachine that will increase his physical capabilities, or he can create an automated turret hidden inside his base's wall.
The first one will take a long time to make because he needs to make another machine to operate on his body. That means he needs to create an AI to do that. That leaves him with the latter option.
He thinks for a few seconds and decides to make a hidden turret for now, and tomorrow, he will make weapons and armor for himself to use.
He walks to the fabricator and starts creating a blueprint that the fabricator needs to make. Peter draws the blueprint, creates step-by-step details of the components he needs, and feeds it to the fabricator. After he is done, he lets the fabricator make all the components he needs while he makes the more complex components and creates the foundation for the turret he is making.
After a few hours, Peter looked at the turret in front of him with a smile on his face.
This turret is called Aegis-Class Autonomous Defense Turret or ADT-1. Why Aegis? That is because it is purely for defense. He cannot take the turret on his journey and deploy it like the one the Engineer from TF2 owns.
The turret is not hidden, but it points at the only entrance to the bunker. Not only that, it also contains a VI that will differentiate the enemy from him. At the moment, it has two modes of firing. There is a non-lethal attack. It will release a pulse of energy that delivers strong but non-lethal damage to the target.
The other one is the lethal option, which shoots out a hardened spike at a high velocity. Peter does not have time to make better ammo for the turret.
With that done, Peter thinks that his work is done and leaves his workshop. He is tired, but he has a smile on his face. Today is a very productive day for him, and he can sleep with a satisfied smile on his face.
