Cordelia's radiant magic circle dimmed slightly before its light blazed through the entire dungeon like a second sun. In an instant, the brilliant spectrum of light converged at the center of the magic circle.
She raised two fingers as she hovered above both Amy and me.
The mana in the atmosphere was condensing, making it impossible to even evade the attack, not like I was planning to anyway.
"Amy!" I called out, facing Cordelia's form. "Can you coat me with mana and act as my support when I need help? You're a tank, right?"
I could feel her staring at me from the corner of my eye. She nodded, then placed her palms on the outer spine of my combat suit.
Mana surged into me like a crashing wave as I tried my best to contain it and fuse it with my own mana.
In an instant, a second skin made of crimson energy enveloped me, causing me to stagger a step backward. Regaining my footing, I fixed my gaze back on Cordelia.
