Chapter 69 - OPRS: Chapter 69

Alistair sent Lafitte to inform Mont Blanc, who immediately set out.

This was a lifelong dream for the Shandora Union. After years of salvaging, they wanted confirmation about the existence of Jaya, and wouldn't hesitate to seek answers.

But this man seemed more influential than they imagined.

The town's merchants were submissive in his presence.

Two beautiful women stood beside him—Boa Hancock, one of the Shichibukai; and Nico Robin, the Ohara survivor and archaeologist!

This was impressive.

Ace, though currently less famous, had the potential and strength to be a Shichibukai, making it even more intimidating.

This force, rivaling the Yonko, still didn't satisfy Alistair.

Even the Yonko couldn't overthrow the World Government.

Could they establish a better system?

Look at the Yonko's territories.

Big Mom was a tyrant; Kaido was a beast-obsessed leader with no governance skills; Whitebeard had a federal system (his sons were his affiliates); and Shanks was a lone wolf, a Yonko in name only, without territory.

What kind of world could they create?

Sensible people wouldn't choose them.

Strong individuals like Fujitora and Kuzan knew the World Government and Marines didn't align with their ideals.

But without joining the Marines, they'd become pirates. Were there other options?

The revolutionaries were like pirates; the world only learned of them when the World Government destroyed their base.

This was why Alistair focused on accumulating strength.

The World Government controlled the media. Unless Alistair created a new propaganda machine, his actions would be publicized, but his ideology ignored.

Seeing the young man smiling, Mont Blanc felt nervous; he wasn't easily fooled.

"I heard you know where Jaya is?" Mont Blanc asked cautiously.

"Yes, you should have guessed, shouldn't you?" Alistair smiled.

Mont Blanc was silent, then asked, "How will you ascend? Lafitte can only take one person, right? With his physique and flying ability, he might not even make it."

Lafitte shrugged, seemingly confirming this.

He was curious how Alistair would ascend without him.

He'd just joined, and Alistair already had a plan.

Otherwise, Hancock, a Shichibukai, wouldn't have helped.

The Shichibukai title was useful. Lafitte was one of the few who understood its value, explaining why he went to Mary Geoise to help Teach become a Shichibukai.

The Shichibukai's reputation was rising; everyone assumed they were at least Mihawk's level. Using this status was advantageous.

Seeing Hancock's active participation and her lover, Alistair, Lafitte boldly introduced himself.

Alistair might have appreciated his flight ability, but Lafitte believed his other skills would impress him further.

"You arrived at the right time." Alistair didn't evade the question, pointing at the merchants' goods. "They're what we need. Just watch."

Most people knew about sailing, but aerospace was unknown.

The world suppressed aerospace technology due to the World Government, Red Line, control over information, commercial monopolies, and many other factors.

The World Government, controlling the Red Line and isolating the Four Seas, had no incentive to develop aerospace technology.

Even the Sea Train was suppressed; its spread was organic.

"We'll assemble a large sphere, fill it with hot air, and ascend." Alistair's words sparked doubt—not about him, but the feasibility of this.

No one had seen such a thing; no one believed it could fly.

"We have much to do. Let the Shandora Union help!" Alistair extended his hand seriously.

This was a massive undertaking. Mock Town's people could only create a prototype; its functionality was uncertain.

But with the Shandora Union, they could achieve remarkable things within ten days…

Mont Blanc looked at Alistair deeply.

This was their lifelong dream. His sons had dedicated years to it. If Jaya was in the sky, he could clear his ancestors' and family's name.

He shook Alistair's hand firmly. "Let me assist you."

"Ouch!" Alistair's relaxed demeanor vanished; he was lifted by the grip.

So weak?!

Robin, Lafitte, Mont Blanc, the gorilla, and the monkey's jaws dropped…
