Addison's POV:
I've been searching for days for Aurora. I rushed to her house when she called me. I heard everything until it went silent on the other end. Luckily I had recorded the call when I realized what was happening. When I entered her apartment her door was ajar I found her phone smashed on the ground and some blood on the kitchen table, but no Aurora. I got the police involved and it's now day 5 and nothing , I even involved my own PI. It's like she vanished into thin air. My days feel so empty without her. I need to find her before our contract deadline or I'm going to be forced to marry someone I have no feelings for. My phone pings and it's part of the algorithm I put together to let me know if a evidence of Aurora surfaced. I open the app and click the link. It brings me to a dash cam footage. A black sedan is driving in front of the filming car and you see the trunk open slightly and someone's arm is waving out of the truck. After about 2 minutes the trunk completely opens and you see Aurora pop out and jump from the car within seconds, the footage ends there. I replay the video so many times I lost count . I have the license plate number now that's something. I pull up my PI contact and give him the new info. At least I know she's still alive. I hope she's ok though. I really miss her. I just need to hold her in my arms.
Aurora's POV:
I lay in bed thinking of all the answers I've been given so far. But my mind doesn't stay on them long, Addison is all I keep thinking about. It feels like forever since I've seen him. Will I ever be able to see him again? I stare at the ceiling lost in thought when I hear a knock on my door. It's late who could it be. I get up and walk towards the door, "who is it?"
"Azriel" I open the door, luckily I have changed out of my dress yet. "What can I do for you?"
"First I want to apologize for not knowing who you were earlier, and there is something I wish to discuss with you in private. Would you go for a night stroll with me?" I nod and exit my room and follow him. He leads me to the garden where there is a gazebo. We sit next to each other on a cushioned bench.
"There is something you must know, and I'm sorry to bring it up but I know eventually it will come up and it involves both of us," he tells me . I look at him slightly confused, "continue please."
"When we were born our parents signed a contract with each other. They promised us to each other."
I look at him bewildered until it clicks I'M FUCKING BETROTHED!!!! "You mean to tell me your my fiancé?!" He's staring at his hands. "I never thought the contract would reactivated, and then they told us you were alive and coming home. Knowing my family it will be brought up again. I just wanted to give you a fair warning."
"I was suppose to marry a in the human world until I got kidnapped." He stars at me like I'm crazy.
"You the Fae Princess marry a human? You think your parents are going to ever let you go back to that realm ?"
"What do you mean Azriel?" He looks away .
"Did you love him?"
"I had strong feelings for him yes, love I'm not sure we hadn't been together that long."
"Do you think you could learn to love me?" He says while he takes my hand and kisses it. I blush at his words. "I don't know, but won't you regret it? I'm sure there's a girl you would rather be with."
"Truly I've never been attached to any females." He entwines our fingers. "You are the first to really capture my attention." He looks at me in the eyes and I can see he isn't lying.
"It's late, let me walk you back to your room." He doesn't release my hand and walks me back to my room places another kiss on my hand and bids me farewell.
