Chapter 11: "Kuro – The Crow Who Knew Everything"
Duration: ~26 minutes
Arc Phase: Academy Training | First Summon | Hints of Fate
---
Scene 1: Royal Avalon Academy – Classroom A-1
Inside a grand, spell-engraved classroom of Royal Avalon Academy, students are opening their notebooks. The mood is serious today—because Professor Elowen herself is teaching. She's a strict and highly respected mage, known for never spoon-feeding her students.
> Professor Elowen (in a cold tone):
"Today we'll learn about Summoning Magic. It's not a game—it's a contract. A blend of your mana and your will. There's no room for mistakes."
The students tense up. Hayashi stays quiet but there's a clear curiosity in his eyes.
> Professor Elowen (drawing a circle with chalk):
"Draw the basic summoning circle and concentrate your mana. The entity that connects with your frequency… will be your first summon."
---
Scene 2: Students Attempt Summoning
One by one, students attempt their first summons.
Reinhardt summons a tough-looking metallic armadillo and names it "Boulder."
Marianne Drayworth summons a beautiful blue ice sprite that dances around her fingers.
A few students fail—imbalanced mana or broken circles.
Then comes Hayashi's turn.
He silently draws his circle, and as soon as he channels mana—
CRACK!
A small blast, a blue flare explodes.
> Professor Elowen (surprised and slightly angry):
"Your mana… is too powerful for beginner summoning. Your base flow is unbalanced. This is... abnormal."
Hayashi is confused. But he closes his eyes and thinks:
> Hayashi (inner voice):
"I want a summon… that can talk. That can guide me. That… can hear me."
Without using a circle, he raises his hand.
A different kind of energy flows. The air thickens.
Suddenly—a BLACK CROW appears.
---
Scene 3: Enter – Kuro, The Talking Crow
> Kuro (with a dramatic entrance):
"Oh man! You finally called me! I was stuck in the void, dying of boredom!"
The classroom goes dead silent. Eyes wide open.
> Student:
"D-Did that crow just… talk?!"
> Kuro (flying toward Hayashi):
"I'm Kuro – your first and last summon. I talk, I keep secrets, and I can see the future… if I feel like it."
> Reinhardt (shocked):
"That's… that's a mythical summon!"
Professor Elowen is stunned.
> Professor Elowen:
"That's an ancient-grade summon… Who are you?"
Hayashi is speechless, but deep inside… he knows something is different.
---
Scene 4: Royal Palace – King and Queen Watching
Inside a hidden magical chamber of Avalon Palace, King Aldric and Queen Seraphina are observing the classroom through a crystal ball.
> King Aldric (softly smiling):
"Just like his father… fearless. And that mana control—it's identical."
> Queen Seraphina (nostalgic):
"His mana... it vibrates like Julius's. Calm but deep… like an old pain hiding devotion."
> King Aldric:
"His path may be even harder than his father's."
---
Scene 5: Night – Hayashi and Kuro on the Rooftop
On the rooftop, Hayashi and Kuro sit under the moonlight. The night sky is glowing, and a cool breeze flows.
Hayashi wants to learn flying magic. Kuro tries to help—in his usual sarcastic way.
> Kuro:
"You wanna fly, kid? Then open your ears—first learn to fly with your mind!"
Hayashi jumps… and lands face-first.
> Kuro (laughing):
"You dropped like a potato! Ask the system, man—I'm a comedian, not an instructor!"
---
Scene 6: First Chat with the System
Hayashi closes his eyes.
> Hayashi:
"System… I want to learn flying. How?"
The system finally responds:
> [System Notification]:
"Summoning Level 1 Reached. Advanced Commands Locked. Upgrade Required."
"New Quest: 'Bond with Your Summon' – Only Emotional Connection Can Unlock True Power."
Hayashi is stunned.
Just summoning isn't enough—he has to truly connect with Kuro.
---
Final Scene: Kuro Looks at the Moon
While Hayashi falls asleep, Kuro silently walks to the edge of the rooftop and stares at the moon.
> Kuro (softly):
"You have the flame that might save this world… or burn it to ashes.
If you ever remember… who you really were."
Kuro's eyes flash—a faint blue glow like Alicia's.
Fade Out.
