Chapter 38 - Chapter 37: Faultiness

---

Location: Ricci's Estate – Montenegro Coast

Ricci paced in his high-walled study, the wine untouched. Monitors showed dwindling territories, frozen accounts, intercepted shipments.

"Three judges. Two senators. And now my offshore routes?" he snarled. "She's tearing the spine out of my empire."

Costanzo stood silent, hands behind his back. Watching. Listening.

"You think I don't feel it?" Ricci said. "She's not fighting like her father. She's fighting like someone with nothing left to lose."

"And those people," Costanzo finally said, slowly, "are the most dangerous in the world."

Ricci narrowed his eyes.

"Have you forgotten where your loyalty lies?"

Costanzo smiled. "Not for a moment."

Meanwhile – Milan

Isabella walked calmly into a luxury high-rise under an alias.

The doorman greeted her. "Ms. Savona, is Ricci's niece expecting you?"

"Very much so," she replied, handing him a wrapped bottle of wine—laced with enough sedative to knock out everyone on the floor.

Twelve minutes later, Elena Ricci, niece of the most feared man in Italy, awoke bound to a chair in her penthouse suite.

"I'm not here to kill you," Isabella said, stepping into the light. "I'm here to teach your uncle that blood is currency. And I'm bankrupting him."

She handed Elena a phone.

"Call him."

Shaking, Elena obeyed.

Ricci's voice answered on speaker.

"Elena?"

And then he heard Isabella's voice.

"This is for Matteo."

She hung up—and left Elena alive.

Because a dead body makes noise.

But a living witness spreads fear.

Elsewhere – Florence Countryside

Nico sat beside his mother in a safehouse.

She was stable. Quiet. But still afraid.

Domenico leaned in, bruised and amused. "You realize you're head of a family now, right?"

Nico chuckled grimly. "I'm head of nothing. She's the one burning down kingdoms."

"She's not doing it alone."

Nico looked out at the sunset. Fire-colored. Velvet-edged.

"No," he said. "She's not."

Back on Ricci's Yacht – Costanzo's Final Move Begins

That night, Costanzo sat in the control room alone, watching security footage.

He inserted the USB Isabella had once given him—covert footage, voice recordings, proof of Ricci's worst crimes.

He smiled slightly.

Then he emailed it to Interpol, two mafiosi rivals, and a Vatican intelligence contact.

One click.

And Ricci's clock started ticking.

Final Scene – Isabella's War Map

The map now bled red.

One family member shaken. One safehouse reclaimed. Allies returning.

Allegra placed a red pin over Ricci's Montenegro estate.

Isabella said just one word:

"Next."
