Massive airships blotted out the skies, rumbling trains thundered across tracks, and highways were flooded with beast-mounted riders and steam-powered vehicles.
It looked less like organized retreat and more like a great exodus.
The entire southern region had become a portrait of desperation.
But behind them—the very land itself was collapsing.
Terrifying waves of energy surged across the landscape. The towns and villages they had once called home were being swallowed by the earth.
