Chapter 32 - Legendary Realm

Among the Otherkind, the average realm of power was the Transcendent Realm. This was more than enough to make them thousands of times more powerful than any human could ever become.

For the first person in the hall to turn out to be in the Heroic Realm made all the students think that since this nobody could be in this realm, they themselves would be at a higher level than that. Their faces were all covered with wide smiles and shining eyes.

There were a few exceptions in the class, and this included all the nobles and those with means. These people already knew their results since they had the resources that allowed them to test their talents and powers very thoroughly.

The next person touched the orb, and this time, the person was in the Transcendent Realm. This made the students calm down, but they still held some hope that they would also be in the Heroic Realm.

The following ten people were all in the Transcendent Realm, and by now, the class had calmed down.

The student that had been found to be in the Heroic Realm was smiling from ear to ear. He was on cloud nine. He even began looking at his fellow students as though they ought to bow down before him and proclaim his glory for all the world to hear.

Hildr shook her head slightly. She could not believe the level of idiocy she was seeing on display.

Unlike most of the students in this hall, she had a greater understanding of these realms. They did not represent what these students thought.

"Lunaria Solisphor," the Battle Master finally called out someone that Hildr knew. This time around, she paid even more attention. This young woman looked calm and reserved with a shy personality that made her appear to be the perfect Otherkind. She had a pure aura about her, and each step she took was filled with grace. She was truly enticing, and the young boys in the hall were already drooling over her. This was only the first day, and one could only marvel at the simplicity of the male creature.

All the people in the hall, male and female, had the urge to protect Luna with all their might.

She moved to the front of the hall and smiled at the Battle Master. She bowed slightly before reaching out to touch the orb. She was, unfortunately, a little short, and she could not reach the orb.

This time around, the students did not mock her as they had mocked those who had come before her. Instead, these students let out weird noises that showed how much they empathized with Luna.

"She is truly a spirit from the Moon Clan."

Luna raised her hand once more, but this time, the orb that had refused to lower itself below six feet suddenly moved lower until it reached her slender hand.

All eyes were glued to this scene that portrayed endless grace and peace.

The orb had actually given in to her.

This was not something that even the Battle Master, a man said to have the power to see ten moves ahead, could have anticipated.

As the students were still thinking about how great and flawless Luna was, the orb suddenly glowed with a green light that filled the hall.

This was the first time the orb was giving out a green light. It was clear that this result was different from the previous ones.

Hildr remained calm, but all the other students who knew about how the orb worked were left stunned. Even the Battle Master was moved. He looked at Luna with a more friendly gaze and even held hints of appreciation within.

"You belong to the Epic Realm," he said after some time.

Hildr remained calm and graceful. She did not gloat like the first student who had gotten an impressive result.

She just smiled at the class, bowed, before returning to her seat. As she moved past Hildr, she gave her a simple smile that had many meanings.

The realms of power were Mortal, Transcendent, Heroic, Epic, and Legendary Realm.

The Legendary Realm was the most powerful, with the Mortal Realm being the weakest.

This was at least according to common belief.

For Luna to belong to the Epic Realm meant that she was only a single realm away from the peak of power among the Otherkind.

This was the reason as to why all the students and even the lecturer were shaken by this result.

A few more people were called, but none was impressive enough to warrant any attention. There were seven more students in the Heroic Realm, and this was impressive, but when one considered that, apart from the first student, all the other students found to be in the Heroic Realm were all from noble families, they would no longer be shocked since these noble families had very powerful bloodlines and legacies going back thousands of years.

Nara, the girl who had claimed to be a fire spirit, turned out to also be in the Epic Realm. To Hildr's shock, she was also in the Epic Realm.

This meant all the three girls who were Hildr's roommates were all in the Epic Realm. This time around, even the Battle Master could no longer remain nonchalant. He got up from his chair and moved closer to the orb.

"Hildr Draugdottir," the Battle Master called out. Everyone watched as Hildr moved to the front. The orb was now only four feet from the floor, making it very easy to reach. Hildr absentmindedly touched the orb. Her mind was consumed by thoughts on what the principal was thinking when she placed her with these other weird girls. Each of her roommates seemed troublesome. She had hoped for simple roommates, but they all now seemed to be anything but simple.

Boom, a small explosion went through the hall.

The Battle Master was forced to take a few steps backwards at this moment.

The hall shook, and the orb glowed with a blue light that wanted to drown all of creation.

This was also the first time this color was showing itself.

"As reported," said the Battle Master.

"As expected," thought the students.

In the history books, Hildr's talent was already recorded as being in the Legendary Realm. Everyone in the hall had already known this, and this was also one of the reasons she was so feared. She was powerful and crazy. This combination was enough to make anyone think that she was truly a disaster for the world.

Hildr did not care for the thoughts going through these people's minds. She just moved back to her seat while still in deep thought.
