The car ride back home was silent, Mari and Cherry each occupied in their own thoughts. After the overwhelming story their mother had told, they had catched up about other things relating to their lives and how things were back at home.
Mari's thoughts were filled with the little girl, she related to her in a way that felt so strange but normal at the same time. She wondered where that child would be, how was she doing, can she control the beast within her now.
For a moment a thought crossed Mari's mind 'what if she's dead'. It was just a possibility cause ever since that incident in tamaria she hadn't heard of any like that again. It was all over the news when she was young and it was also devastating for the villagers. It was highly possible that the child was too overweight by guilt and just decided....'No don't think like that Mar', Mari mentally said to herself. Her mother did say say their family left after that.
Mari heard someone cough beside her, distracting her from her thought. She turned and met her sister staring at her weirdly with raised eyebrow.
"Are you not coming down"
"Oh right...sorry"
Outside, standing on the driveway she looked over at the mansion opposite theirs. Alex room was facing the back.
Mari looked at Cherry and voiced what has been bothering her since they started to solve this mystery.
"I'm going to tell her"
"Huh", Cherry asked not hearing her sister clearly "what did you say"
Mari didn't answer but simply looked at her in the eye.
"No...no.... don't tell me is what I think it is", Cherry said warningly.
"We have been drifting apart lately and I've been feeling I would soon loser...am tired of things being awkward Cherry, I really miss those days"
"Mari"
"I know is a risk and a ten percent chance she would accept me for who I am, but I just have this hope that Al isn't like that"
"And if that hope is lost, if she becomes scared of you...what will you, how would you live with that"
"I dunno, I guess is for the best then....am just tired of keeping secrets and making excuses to her every time Cherry"
Sighing "She's your friend and I have no say in it, am just don't want you to lose her"
"I have a feeling that it's going to go smoothly", Mari said and Cherry gave a smile to her sister's optimism.
"Are you going now", Cherry asked.
Mari looked over at the Paris Mansion and back at her sister
"Yeah", She breathed out "Am telling her tonight, don't want to waste any more time"
"Good luck"
"Thanks"
Taking a deep breath, she crossed and went over to the Paris Mansion.

How was that even possible. Mari thought she had hidden it well I guess nothing can pass Alex Paris.
"You okay", Alex asked with an amused smirk seeing the shocked expression on Mari's face. It looked like she had just seen a ghost.
"Yeah am fine", Mari said regaining herself.
"You sure", Alex asked leaning down to pair at her. She wasn't that tall perse just 5'8 whereas Mari was a 5'5
"Yeah I am", Mari said then squinted her eyes and glared angrily at Alex "Why didn't you tell me that you knew of my secret all this time huh,.than making feel so guilty", she said her both hands on her hips.
"I didn't want to meddle in your private life and I also felt if you've kept it a secret all this time is for a reason"
"How long have you known and how did you even find out", Mari rushed out, she still couldn't believe it....worst part was Alex was being so neutral, she wasn't running away or looking at her with disgust.
"Woah woah, chill...one question at time Mari", Alex said with a chuckle and plumped down on her bed, laying flat on her bed.
Alex turned her head to look at Mari and said "I've known for nine years now"
"Nine", Mari was shocked at how long Alex had known her secret.
"On my 9th birthday, I think that's when you um....what did they call those stuffs in books"
"You mean my first shift...you were there"
"It was literally in this very room"
"What", Mari said with her face flushed in ebarassment.
"We were little then, no need to be embarrassed. I wanted to ask you about it but since you pretended nothing happened I figured you didn't want me to know or parents told you so"
"But I don't remember you being there"
"How can you when you were screaming in pain..it was scary", Alex said her face going blank reminiscing.
So she knew, she has known for nine whole years. Mari still found it really hard to believe.
"So you believe the supernatural world is real and your not freak out by what I am"
"Even without knowing your secret, this town is weird on it's own. What matters is what's on the inside, a person with a face of an angel face could have monstrous heart"
" I've known you most of my life to know that your nothing like a monster....if you were you would have hurt me long ago, also I don't see how being a werewolf is bad".
She couldn't believe it she just couldn't believe how neutral Alex was being right now.
"What about you do you have secrets", Mari asked jokingly and joined her on the bed.
Alex turned her head and face Mari with a smile and said,"Everyone has secrets Mari"
Mari saw the glint in her eyes....she always wondered what secrets Alex may have. She has always been too uptight...unlike her sister who was free spirited, Alex eyes alone contained a lot of secrets.....secrets she badly wanted to know.
She didn't press further, whoever Alex was ready she would tell her.
"Oooooh..so we're cool then"
"Hmmmmm, I dunno...now that I think about it your not the only one that have been acting weird lately"
"The whole gang has"
Mari gulped and asked in a small voice "we have"
"Why you looking so scared you already told me who you are", Alex said and chuckled. "What am trying to say is that my guess is all of you are werewolf...no"
"Well only Cleo is, Liv is a fairy and Hannah is a witch"
"Wow....that's really diverse"
The both chuckled at that. They laid in a comfortable silence for some minutes..staring blankly at the ceiling until Mari broke it.
"Do you have any questions", she asked.
"Nah am good...but having non human friends though is kind of intriguing don't you think"
"Your such a character", Mari said shaking her head at her friend with a smile.
"Want to watch a movie", Alex asked getting up from the bed.
"Sure...I guess", Mari replied with a shrug. "Lemme just send a quick text to Cherry"
"It's not like am going to kidnap you"
"I dunno....now it seems more likely", she said teasingly making Alex chuckle.
The text was short and simple and conveyed alot 'It went well'.

Angry growls were heard deep into the woods. Deep within a cave it's growls were drowned by the water fall covering it..... hiding it from peering eyes.
A girl stood in front an enormous cage made of strong iron and protected with magic. Within it was the beast...her beast. She stared at the beast locked inside who snarled angrily at her, bashing it's body on the cage begging to be let out.
"It's been so long isn't it", she said, stretching her hand she began to pet it's fur making the beast purr in delight.
"I know, am very sorry....you know I just had to do it..I had no choice"
Rea had successfully detached herself from the beast after that incident twelve years ago. When she had found out from Lucifer she could do such, she was delighted....it came with a price though. She would stay Forty eight hours being chained and tortured in hell every month if she wants her freedom.
The first few years she regretted the decision she had made, the pain was unbearable. She felt her skin tear so many times and after the forty eight hours in the real world there's was no single scar, just the lingering burning sensation on her skin.
Lucifer was angry at her easily she gave up, the beast was her title but she had stripped it away. At least she still continued her training. Without the beast she was a normal Royal of destruction
Now, after years has past...she could bear the pain.
"Your just so difficult to tame...you know that", the girl whispered.
The beast whined in response, it wasn't happy about being locked in here for over ten years.
"I promise that you won't stay here forever"
"I..I just need time... okay", the beast grunted at her and went to lay down... turning it's head form her direction.
She held the cage with both hand as she stared at the beast that was supposed to be her partner...she was scared.....sacred if history repeating itself.
"I been having this weird feeling lately....the air feels tense... something bad is about to take place", as she said this the beast ears perked up with interest and turned to face her.
Something was brewing.... something dangerous and she could feel it. Crimes in Crescent fall became high.....the flowers, plants and trees have been drying up lately, like someone was draining their life energy.....their strength.
"Until then....I know I will need your help to fight very soon"
