We received hundreds of letters. Some handwritten. Others sent via email or through the foundation's portal.

Stories from women who found the strength to speak their truth because Ava had.

Fathers who promised to do better because they saw how one man had failed.

Kids who said Ava reminded them of their own mothers.

And then there were the business investors, those who once walked on eggshells around my name, now calling to express admiration.

Transparency had transformed us. It had given us power we hadn't even known we needed.

But with it came pressure.

I sat in my office that afternoon, reading through a report on stock fluctuations since the story broke.

The Kingsley Trust had soared in public favor. Investors called it the "ethics rebound." But I knew better. Public favor was a flame, beautiful, but fickle.

I picked up my phone and called Daniel, my head of PR.
